Colo's a better individual than Williamson, but as stated above Perch-Willo is a more natural partnership, and we wouldnt be forced to play a high line. If we do keep Perch I'd like it to be as a DM, but occasionally covering in defence is helpful. He may be the butt of many jokes, but he's still better than the youth team players.

    Krul
    Simpson Williamson Perch Santon
    Cabaye Guthrie
    Benny - - Jonas - - Obertan
    Best

Best's OK on the left, but Shola cant lead the line. No big deal if that^ fails, we have Papiss and Demba back anyway.

Pardew's ignoring him because he isnt good enough. Terribly injury prone as well.

But there is Perch. Kadar was considered as 6th choice, even after Simpson. That says it all for me, I liked him in the Championship but if he isnt performing in training/the reserves then he's not going to play.

the reason Perch is the butt of everyones jokes is because he is a total liability at Centre back. Simmo is the answer.

Perch's record of goals against is their to see. Ignore if you like, but I will be fearing the worst with this plank at CB.

He's not that bad, we tend to exaggerate how good and bad our players are to be honest, and a long spell out of the team doesnt help. With a suitable partner he looks fine (v Chelsea with Saylor for example), but playing with Colo doesnt suit either of them, it forces us to play a high line as neither of them can win headers.

Really hope Perch doesn't play tomorrow, we are screwed if he does.

Some say he's Championship quality defender? Hell even Forest wanted rid of him and we were the suckers that got him.

I'm not one of those who jump on bandwagons, but he is pretty bad. You watch him vs west brom? My god. Even v Chelsea he left Drogba totally unmarked for his goal. Shocking.
