If anyone is interested I can provide, after today, a file of all results imported from the RP between 1st Oct 2011 and 30th April 2012 inc.

The file is in MS Access format and can therefore also be produced in Excel and comma delimited text.

OK

1. What format would you like?
2. What detail would you like? I have extra fields added but can easily strip these out.
3. The RP provides Course ID. Do you want this, the full course name, or both?
4. Where would you like me to send the file? (You can PM an email address)
5. The Excel and Access formats are not the latest versions of those apps but I can transfer onto my other laptop which has them
6. The Excel file is just under 15mb (unzipped), the text file is just under 10mb (unzipped), although they will be less depending on how much I strip out.

<cheers> Ron

Excel
everything you have
full course name (if this is not a problem)
will PM email later on
Have old/new formats so whichever is easiest

Just had a look at the file. There are 86,213 engagements, 30,518 horses, 232 racecourses (of which exactly 50% have the full course name). I've just telephoned RP to see if they could provide a file of all the course abbreviations (with full names) for all the race meetings they cover as it's a bit of a pain trying to build up the missing ones (all foreign I believe). They are going to ask their IT Dept if they can oblige. Simple task but I'm not holding my breath.

<cheers> Ron you are a good one. You didn't need to go through that hassle. Will PM email tmz signing off now
