I've got the Poll set for two days. OK, perhaps too much, but it gives most people a chance to vote if they want to.
Bear in mind this will take place during the months of no football..! I remember what it was like on here last season. I think Joe was posting to himself he was that bored. By all means think of something to make it less dull. This isn't cut and dried, I'm just trying to make the pre-season less of a torment for people.
It'll still be a torment for us unless Mr Cortese emails us all a time table from now to August 17th with a list of announcements and the day they will be happening... it's going to be hell. I realise you are just trying to be helpful and bring some structured entertainment to our lives.
Yeah it would be good to at least know when announcements are coming. Ah well, we will have to wait for announcements of the announcements.
Can't you get another invite..? Or tell us again of some of the things he came out with again, when you dined with him last time. Got to fill these pre-season moments.
OK, I believe I saw Mikey volunteering to run this. If he does, just put an affirmative here. Then start a new thread asking for nominees for the best goalkeepers to face Saints this season just finished. Run that for 2 days and then, if there are more than 6, take the top 6 counted and start a poll to last 2 days, so that we can vote who is the top keeper. Repeat for every position. Cheers. Oh, and ask for the thread to be stickied and a mod will do it for you.
Perhaps it was wishful thinking..! I'll leave to you as to when you want to start it. Remember, 11 positions, 7 subs, and 1 manager. That should take us close to the new season. Yes, he asked me if I wanted another glass of wine ... oh and do you realize how many bottles of wine I have had since then? The interesting one looking back, was his response to one question I asked, looking back at events in January. Remember this was January 2012 and we would have been top or second in the Championship. I asked, "How long has Nigel got?" A few people round the table threw me a look as if I was nuts, but Cortese gave me a bit of a look. I think he shirked that one, but can't really remember. He may have said something about targets.
There you go. On the wine bottle front, you may be just about nudging ahead of me as I recently gave up drinking alcohol on a regular basis. Not a formal decision, I've just been selecting apple juice or flavoured water instead. I think I'm going to keep it up as well.
