Can someone explain to me why it is that Bullard wants to play for Jewell at Ipswich but not Pearson at Hull? Our Management is paid a lot of money to motivate and get the best out of our players - in Bullard's case (our best player by far, by the way) they have palpably failed and judging from yesterday's woeful performance they are now failing with all the others. Our team is hard to beat - yes - but drab, uninspiring and lacking flair and character. A reflection of the management style I'm afraid.
I think Bullard got sick of reading all the posts about him on Hull City websites. Thats why he doesnt want to stay here. The club dont want him and I understand that he was a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
Jimmy doesn't read the message boards, I asked him, neither do any of the other players I've asked(including Barmby, Ash, Elliot, Green, Joseph and Brown). I spoke to a club director last week and was scathing about the affect Jimmy and Ash were having in the dressing room.
I wouldnt imagin that they would own up to reading message boards Lammie. Thats also what I heard about those two.
with the amount that we pay them they probably employ someone to read the boards on their behalf, filter out any criticism and then just tell them anything good that we said. Somewhere along the line relationships with Bullard have degenerated to the point that having him around was detrimental to the team. I am not privy to the workings of the club to know how & why. Its not the first time it has happened -- a lot of Fulham supporters were less than compliementary about his attitude when he left. That could have been sour grapes. Duffman and co gambled the club's future on Bullard's signing and they lost. We are now picking up the pieces and on the road to recovery.
Do have to say i have grown fond of your comments, glad to have found a Leicester fan who accepts banter Anyway on Jimmy, i don't give two monkeys, any person who says he gave his all in our relagation battle is kidding themselves, since he came back around March/April last year he did not look bothered and did not get into tackles, as soon as a player does that they can go get lost for me... I look forward to seeing someone who wants to be here in the summer. If we get Danns i will be happy however i doubt many of the players we get will be players we will have heard of.

He is a great player would be great back at Hull, I like the lad great player all through his career. Shame for the injuries.
Doubled his money from Fulham, got a long deal from Duffman even though all the medics advised against us signing him, only player not to accept a wage deferral before the Allams takeover. Not motivated by money - f*ck off. Talented player with glass knees that will still be looking for a payoff from us should he find some other mug to take him on (over to you Ipswich) Having 'proved' his fitness albeit avoiding any sort of physical contact lets see if a lesser PL side will take a chance on him - I sincerely hope so but think not.
Honestly, hopefully not so he can stay here. He probably does though, as the managment there doesn't seem to treat him like **** to boost their own egos. Shame for us really.
Jimmy is playing well at Ipswich as he is happy working with a manager he knows and is closer to home. If we got Jimmy back here we'd be seeing what we'd seen before. He got his chance this season, so you can't criticise the management team for not giviiing him a chance, and except for been in the right place at the right time at Sheff United he hasn't really impressed. i'd like to remind TWF that no man is bigger than the club, and with JB's ludicrous contract and wages and the circus surrounding him, it was becoming that way. I've seen nothing in 2 years of seeing him play (November 2009 aside) that would make me want him back here. A move back here wouldn't work out well for either party, and i won't lose sleep on us not having a 33 year old player prone to injury not playing for us. There's much better out there we can get, it's time the TWFs of this world opened their eyes and realised that. Believe it or not, the sun doesn't shine out of Bullard's backside!
