    Unfortunately we had the NUST who are too busy patting each other on the back and organising pointless socials to even bother. They tried getting people to invest their pensions into the scheme, it was ridiculous.
    What we really need in this country is the 50+1 rule of the Bundesliga (sp?) as we've seen god knows how many clubs be ****ed over recently by their owners who have no respect for the club and what it means to the area in which that club is based.
    I just thank god Ashley hasn't gone the route of the MK dons. <yikes>

    Ha, the NUST sound just like our SOS, except I doubt they sing Munich songs at official events.

    Is the 50+1 rule any better though, I mean it sounds good in theory, but when you look at the financial problems that have been happening over there, you have to wonder if it's any better than these chancers we've got running British clubs?

    I can think of Schalke & Dortmund as two huge clubs who've recently been through financial difficulties.

    It's not perfect, but if you look at clubs like Hoffenheim - there's still hope. It would just need the fans to be sensible really, I guess there's no guarantee of that though!
    I suppose rather one idiot at the top than 52,000+!
    To be honest I don't think Ashley will sell even if someone like Henry was interested (like happened to you), he realises he can make the club turn a profit and since all debt is nigh on owed to him, he could decide to start charging interest on that money, so he's sitting on a cashcow.
    We probably have the tightest billionaire owner in the sporting world! He reminds me of my Uncle Brian who made a mint in the IT boom of the 80s and yet still gets my Grandad to pay for his flights over from Israel (he settled over there with a Jewish wife).

    I think it nigh on proves that Pardew is a yes man, unfortunately for us.
    If and that's a big if, Ashley uses our scouting system to replace Enrique we may have another Andy Cole moment, but I just can't see it myself.
