I didnt think the red card was harsh at all, he looked to see where Sammy was and jumped in swiping him on the face with his hand. Hand or elbow to face = red card in my book. Ki coming on changed the game.

If it was us, we'd be gutted at the decision. I see why he gave it. So did Craig Burley......but he changed his mind.

Definitely a sending off. I agree with Hoopster 67, he sized Samaras up went for him with his forearm, the fact that his timing may have been a wee bit off did not change his intention was to do Samaras.
Third game in a row Samaras has had a positive effect on the outcome for Celtic.
Sammy must have been delighted that it was the opposition crowd that gave him the boos this week.
Any kind of a win will do now, when we have so many missing.
That was exactly any kind of a win.

Agreed that it was "any kind of a win" as Celtic needed the three points. Hopefully season back on track.

However, I guess you were watching a different game (or are fishing) Samaras was average (at best).

Never a sending off, a ridiculous decision.

Don't care though - not our fault - and the players did reasonably well to take advantage. Dreadful first half though.

With the sending off, it was a harsh red card but the ICT player didn't make any attempt to play the ball, he looked to see where Samaras was then jumped into him. It was a yellow card but the way Butcher is going on you'd think the player had done nothing wrong.

As you say though Admiral, if Lennon had said something like that he'd be getting ripped a new one and the refs would probably be threatening to go on strike again.

Pud , I am not into fishing and I am sorry I don't understand your remark.

What I did mean, about Sammy was that the big man was a threat to them or so Tansey perceived, and that led Tansey to make an assault on Sammy resulting in Tansey getting sent off. Now if that is not having a positive effect I don't know what is.

I now see what you mean but, in my opinion, that's all he "offered". Apart from a few flick ons , he did little else.

But, maybe, him being tall n physical upset ICT <ok>.

Pud exactly what I mean, Sammy attracting the attention of Tansey, resulted in him "contributing" more than anyone else bar Stokes who scored two goals.
The shadowknows really he doesn't know. I thought I had explained myself well enough with my first reply to you.

With the list of injuries we have, I take wins anyway and if that includes penalties sending offs whatever.
We have a long bit to go to catch them who are given a free run every week.

IMO Lennon knew first half was going to be a physical battle, hence Samaras, then later on in the second half brings on Ki for a bit more guile as Ness started to tire. At least i hope thats what he thought. Good second half, and Im not sure why some are moaning about poor first half as it was always going to be tough. Very good result today. Other results make it even better.

Hoopster probably right, Samaras I think is better as a part of the game player. He attracts players round him and I think last 25/30 mins suit him best.
Today you are right, there for the hard work infirst half, but he can be sooooooo frustrating it is unbelievable.
It was a pity today that the lb was ill as I thought Ledley was immense in the 2nd half at midfield.
Roll on Wednesday and another win.
The fat lady has not sang yet.
