I don't think Burley actually knows the offside rule. In fact, he seems confused about a few of the rules.

He won a few flick ons. Another day they drop like they did against Rennes. Otherwise not great. There is no room on the pitch for him to be effective against a deep lying side. Hooper still not flying, but he moves like a motherfucker.
Terrible first half performance but as wee Strachan pointed out, it was important to get through the first 45 without giving them a goal to hang on to. Red card was very harsh and surprising given that the ref had been quite lenient up to that point. Overall, job done and a tricky away tie out the way. Pick up another three points against Dunfermline midweek and then it's another home tie against St Mirren next weekend (3 o'clock kick off - will wonders never cease?)
