Ha ha, No, I wouldn't take the risk(Like I said just offering balance), But what you've just said there is why I'm gearing towards a no. Not potential negativity. More a matter of self respect to the club of lowering themselves do welcoming back that sort of greed. We've not been very good at keeping our dignity lately. I can see what he'd bring, I know he's a charismatic people person, But the greed and self respect is my reasons for a no, I'm just not convinced the transfer would necessarily be a bad one. But the Club comes first naturally and it's about time we weren't a door mat.

One thing is for certain. We need a Gyan like forward to play in the middle(Remy could be an option) or a back to goal target man. Just having a striker like Defoe restricts our options big style. Another option would open doors to maneuverability for Moyes tactically. We need to get other players scoring too, as it stands Defoe gets injured and we're ****ed. We need someone who can play a bit or hold the ball up with strength to bring the other forwards into goal scoring positions. Januzij and Khazri could get 8+ goals each with the right center forward.

Sakho still ain't found a club, he's not too dissimilar to Gyan the way he plays. He ain't worth £20m though.

Maybe there'll be a surprise striker on the cards, still a few days left yet, some big players yet to move who are expected to, such as Bony.

The certainly plenty of both kind of forward expecting to move. Most are going to cost though. I expect a few 5 to 10m signings and some loans coming in, not anywhere the type of money to land these players permanently. Hope the club surprise me.

You never know mate, your club's patience might pay off.

    Nothing would surprise me.

Edit: when I say patience I obviously mean the slow progress they've made in the transfer window. You might stumble across a bargain and other clubs have closed their wallets.

During his 4 year tenure with us it's the same thing mate> I'm sure Moyes would like to shop at Harrods but Short will insist he goes top Lidl.

Sounds like Manquillo will make SAFC debut tomorrow, with Borini, O'Shea & Kone all having a chance of playing too.

Moyes confirms to @SkySportsNewsHQ he has a bid in for Vicente Iborra. He's hoping for a couple of new arrivals over the next few days.

Vito Mannone out for an estimated 3 months with elbow ligament injury. David Moyes doesn't rule out a move for Joe Hart on loan.

Joe Hart - things are just going from bad to worse at Sunderland.

Joe Hart may not be right for City but he'd be a brilliant player by our standards.

Ha that is funny when you consider he was viewed at such a high level last year and now he has been linked to our club no matter how thin that is a slide down the levels no doubt!!! Seriously though I know he isint world class but I would still say he is a good goalkeeper.

I don't think he's a brilliant player by any standard.

I've heard nowt but good things about your young keeper, if you're bringing in Joe Hart to cover Mannone's injury then all that tells me is Moyes doesn't rate the kid anywhere near as highly as you lot do cos Hart is utter turd.

He was always going to be found out.

When Kompany is not there to clean up the mess, the spotlight hits him.

It's Pickfords time now. We dont nee Hart but we do need a keeper to cover Pickford for the next few months. I truly believe this will be the making of JP and he'll go on to be our number 1 for the rest of the season.

I'll get shouted down here but Joe Hart is not a rubbish keeper, far from it. It's always been known that a title winning team need a solid keeper. When Man City have won the league he has been immense, one bad tournament doesn't make him a bad keeper.

I'd be happy with Pickford getting a chance if Moyes feels he's ready. Young though so I'd understand the need for cover for Mannone. Start with Pickford and I don't think our cover for him would be up to much.

I think Hart's a decent player though, I don't think Mannone would get too close to the City/England set ups.

Hart has been dodgy for the last 2 or 3 years imo. I rememeber he got dropped by Mancini a few years ago when Pantilimon replaced him for a while. Then last season he let a few soft goals in last season then went onto have a poor Euros.

I agree with you, he's a good keeper just a bit overrated and in bad form. It's the form that's the problem he seems to have lost his focus and composure.

Manager David Moyes: "I hope Jan Kirchhoff will be back after the international break. John O'Shea has a hip problem, we hope Fabio Borini will be back this weekend."

    upload_2016-8-26_11-5-37.gif
After news that goalkeeper Vito Mannone could miss a minimum of three months (09:43 entry), manager David Moyes says of Jordan Pickford: "He now has his chance to show what he can do. He has a big future ahead of him." "Vito Mannone has torn ligaments in his elbow and we're waiting to see whether it will require surgery. He will be out a minimum of three months. We definitely need to look for another goalkeeper because we only have a young goalkeeper after Jordan Pickford."

Sunderland manager David Moyes has confirmed the club have made a bid for Sevilla midfielder Vicente Iborra. Media reports had linked the 28-year-old Spaniard with the Black Cats in the last week.

At least the Polish (?) lad Max...Stryjek (?) that Moyes mentions seems to be a good prospect. Not enough to gamble our season on obviously but it is mildly reassuring.
