I agree, from what I've seen (hope PJ's doesn't read this as I may have to justify my knowledge and provide a translator) he's hit and miss, with a bit of luck we'll get the best out of him.
I think Ibe was a youth loan so we could recall. Cant do the same with wisdom. Otherwise a cracking idea
I don't think anyone is expecting Origi and Ibe to come in and save the season. More a case of start getting a few games and gelling with the team and offering something which suits our best style more than the other options we have in Lambert and Balotelli. If they play games and link up nicely with players like Stelring, Coutinho, Markovic, Can then it gives us a nice group of young players who can play well together that we can start to build on.
For whatever reason, and regardless of whether we agree with it or not, Suso was never going to make it with us so what would be the point of keeping him?
Annoying thing is, we got rid of him for nothing to save on a few weeks wages. If we weren't going to play him this year, why not ell him off the back of the successful loan he had? Could have got close to £5m for him from some mid table Spanish side I reckon.
I'm sure you're not the only one to have thought of this. Just because we don't know the reason for something doesn't mean there isn't one.
Good to see Ibe get time today. Sad to see Suso officially gone. Will be a success imo at Milan. Could have been good for us but not rated by Rodgers.
Not really just his opinion. Brod clearly didn't rate him and want prepared to give him a chance so what Saint said is true, he was never going to make it with us whilst Brod was manager
Well in my opinion I think he could have made it with us - so back to my original post I would have kept him because I think he is good enough. Rodgers, as you've stated, is the reason he won't.
Not fussed about Suso - talented but is he talented enough? We have a few players ahead of him who all can play in a number of positions, work harder, better and have a turn of pace. Wish him all the best.
Fair enough, I was just pointing out that Saint wasn't posting his opinion. I actually agree with you but I always maintain caution when it comes to youngsters because I was scarred by Pacheco
Suso might have made it we are not utd challenging for titles like Pogba left so IMO if suso had signed a 2 year deal maybe he'd have got more games this year and maybe he would make it Frankly however why should we develop someone else's player for free? He was always going for months now Ibe us our new signing in January we should hope we develop him!
Correct. I wasn't saying Suso wasn't good enough, -just that, for whatever reason, he wasn't going to get the chance. He's 21 now and has been with the club since he was 16. Although 21 is still young, players who are going to make it at a club will usually have made a bigger impact by this stage. I'm guessing we only recalled him from loan to bolster our squad for the CL season, but he's still been almost entirely unused. It's a waste of the lad's career to sit on a bench when he's reaching the age where he should begin to flourish.
Fair enough lads I mean BR must have his reasons for binning him - and lets face it he's more experienced that us! I just find it a bit annoying he's not had more chances. When he has played I've liked what I've seen. We've given quite a few youngsters a go in the past few years when we've been short of numbers - and whilst most played pretty well - where are they now?!
