You all remember this guy

He died due to police acrions during the G20 protests

The police were only brought to account due to someone recording the incident on their phone

After reading about an alleged assault by police on a disabled Celtic fan and his family, should supporters now be going to games with their ticket, scarf and I phone?

We have seen the police make a song and dance about recording fans on their phones

I believe that supporters groups should actively encourage fans to record police activity before, during and after games

Obviously you don't go to a game to spy on cops, however it is so easy to capture misdeeds by officers it should be exploited

They may be cops but they have to follow the law too

I find the whole policing debate strange. I go to a few games and never have any problem with the police. Power mad stewards have pissed me off, although only by actions towards others. I'm of the opinion if you act responsibly them the police will not give you any cause for concern at a football ground.

In the city centre cops are far worse behaved than at a football ground.
 
The attitude changed with the policy of illicit chanting

They want to uphold the law.....let's make sure they don't break it

I never get into trouble with the Police unless i'm actually doing something I should not be.

Mr Tomlinson should have thought of that.
 
He didn't do anything wrong.

I have spoken with an officer in the Scotchcops and he informed me that the training they hsve received in relation to the new Act is woeful ( and that was a view shared by his monkey colleague). We know that the cops have been issued briefings that have been compiled by folk with an anti Celtic agenda. This has been conceded by Campbell Corrigan. With both these things in mind, i would suggest recording their activity is a very good idea. No need to do it covertly. Do it openly and tell them that you are doing it if needs be.

If they interview you, they will use Pace codes of practice. I would do the same in talking to them. it will protect you both.

Does PACE apply in Scotland?

It hasn't up until now, as far as I'm aware.

It doesn't. But applying the. Codes of practice (insofar as they apply to the situation) will keep you right.

They will abide by those principles too.
 
I like to (used to anyway <changed man>) fool with the coppers at the desk when you're getting booked in like the time I got wrestled to the ground for tensing all my muscles in my right arm (where the female pig was holding me) she freaked out and said I was trying to escape <laugh> <bronson> they done me in quite a bit in the cell one of them ****in skelped me full pelt in the arse with his batton <barrymore> I had some bruise after that one <laugh>

Police people have a different interpretation of right and wrong, of truth and lies
than the rest of society.
We need to be very careful and we need to especially look after our young supporters
because the police find it no problem at all to cause trouble and then blame it on the
nearest group of youths.

God Almighty! Do you really believe that?

There is a general rule in life - if you've done nothing wrong, then you've got nothing to worry about. There are hundreds of thousands of Celtic fans that leave CP every year without having as much as a word with the police. If the police have to speak to someone at football games then generally there is a reason for it.

You carry on with your psycho view of the world, the rest of us will get on with real life <ok>

Come on, the idea that we have Hamish Macbeth patrolling the stadium is silly

Most likely they are adrenaline fueled bams themselves just looking for an excuse

As long as we all video tape each other then we will be fine
 
As a result of failed and biased briefings, I think it is fair to suggest that the Police have not been well prepared to deal with the Celtic support. I hope this shall change.

Nothing wrong in the eyes of the law but the simple fact is that if your act like an idiot in front of Riot police you can hardly say it's a surprise if someone gives you a dunt. The poor guy did not deserve to die but the coppers did not kill him.

Is it possible that you are prejudging the issue or perhaps you know something the courts don't...... or is the following news article incorrect?

"Following the Plea and Case Management hearing on 17 October 2011, at which PC Simon Harwood denied charges of manslaughter for the death of Ian Tomlinson, a trial date has been set for 13 June 2012. His trial is expected to last four to five weeks.

Harwood showed 'no emotion' during the 20-minute hearing at Southwark crown court during which he pleaded not guilty".

Are you denying that hundreds of thousands of Celtic fans each season have no contact whatsoever with the police at Celtic Park?

I tend to find the people that do have contact with police at football games are generally the same people who act like ****wits. If they don't have the common sense to behave themselves, why should the rest of us look out for them?

Stratclyde feds pr guy was a hun. Gave biased briefings to the po po and fed negative stories to the daily record.... For whom his mrs works. She is also a hun.
