Middlesbrough and Ituano, oh dear. Ituano are really not a good team, currently twelfth in the SP state league after seven games, won two and drawn three, scored five and conceded seven. Only one tem has scored fewer goals, but their defence is one of the stronger ones - but they haven't actualy played any of the bigger teams yet, except Santos who beat them 0-1. Their two wins were both awy from Itu and strangely their last match was a 3-3 draw which makes their record even worse two goals in six.

My team are crap, but Ituano make them look good.

Zaha wouldn't fit in at EDL Town.

He clearly wanted the limelight to himself there...most managers would have praised their team for the comeback and spoken about the "positives"

It was werid seeing him waffle on about "world class players" after his side had come back from 2 down and almost won!

Does that mean Palace have world beaters too..

Chalobah from Chelsea has probably been the best of the loan players we've got ironically enough apart from Vydra for his goalscoring and maybe Abdi.

Holloway can rant all he wants, at least he is opinionated.

I heard a short piece about Watford on Talk Sport today. It was reasonably unbalanced although both sides of the argument were put forward.

I think Holloway has a fair point. If the shoe was on the other foot and another team had a lot of loanees we, as fans, might at least scrutanise the Football Leagues policy.

I hope we can get away with it and the loophole (whatever you may want to call it) isn't closed or it might drastically reduce the Pozzos plans.

There is no loophole. If the rule is changed then we simply sign the players with the Pozzos selling to the Pozzos.

A very good article... defending us, with facts!

Other teams are doing far worse than what we are doing, even at Championship level, paying way beyond their means to reach the 'promised land'.

I'd much rather try and achieve promotion the way we are doing it than spending millions we don't have, risking the clubs future

No doubt with all the fuss from the likes of Holloway will cause the FL to look into the rule that allows us so many foreign 'loans' (or secondments). If they do, all we do is sign the players on a free transfer!

I think both on the field and commercially we are becoming a more attractive prospect so even if we don't go up, I fully expect revenues to rise through more games on TV and sponsorship/hospitality! If we can also consistently break that 15k attendance mark, hopefully we can exploit more revenue streams through a new East Stand also!

    Yes..... i agree.......

We will get round the loans rule ... so no worries on that front....

best chance for us to achieve real success since the GT 80s ........ as we now have some backing to support building the team when we do go up :)

also...... the football we are seeing now is as good as the GT 80s .... I never thought i would see so much passing! They can no longer criticize the long ball Watford can they.... so now something else to have a go at us for.

We all know Holloway would jump at the chance to have the sort of backing we now have....

I am disappointed as I liked his successes in recent years.... he has really let himself down...

I wonder if the same amount of thought will go into 'closing the loophole' as went into creating the loan rules in the first place? If so, there's no doubt another loophole is ready to spring open straight away - and Holloway's head will be done in even further. ;)
