We didn't sack him Wiz, the board did.

All managers have to learn their jobs and sometimes things dont work out for them.

You may find that in certain circumstances the manager must go when the team is not coming up to scratch.

Olly is the most successful Bristol born manager that I can recall.

I can only give him great respect.

It may irritate some folk, but Olly is blue, through and through!!!

' "There have been a lot of people calling for his head in the press over recent weeks, he added.

Mr Chappell went on to say part of the problem was their neighbours doing so well:

"I think there is a lot of pressure, with City doing well at the moment, and I think that puts more pressure on the supporters." '

I won't express an opinion out of respect for your rules but needless to say your lot didn't help him according to Mr Chappel..

I dont want to knock this thread of course, but read your own board Wiz and take stock of the opinions.
Supporters in those days did not have access to such an open forum to express their opinions.
So ultimately how many supporters supported Mr Chappel's view we will never know!!

Would you say this was a true comment or just the chairman of the Bristol Rovers supporters club own opinion...?

'Holloway will be remembered as a totally committed manager who balanced the books, but could not deliver the ultimate goal.'

well i didnt want him to get sacked. just because people were calling for his head, doesnt mean EVERYONE was. to attempt to call us hypocrites when you have no clue whatsoever what any of us on this forum actually feels is a total joke wiz.

as for hypocrite, take a look your end before branded that word our end.

I used the word Hypo.......never said Hypocrite, you did...I won't comment an opinion on the way any of the special ones feel, as for clues,no comment,I haven't cracked a joke,I just quoted the chairman of the Bristol Rovers supporters club and before you delete me,I have obeyed every rule from the new rulebook and I didn't use the word EVERYONE..

Just remember "gasheads" sacked him and " gasheads" are now crowing about his successes, that's all I pointed out..
