I reckon Chelsea are in for him riding on the back of Michael Laudrup's judgement. I would have thought that they were well off for strikers but they can afford £8.5 million just to see how he goes. We would struggle to find the transfer fee and certainly couldn't compete with Chelsea on wages. All we could offer is almost guaranteed first team football. Chelsea can afford to bench that sort of money. We can't.

Aspas won,t move during this January transfer window, probably in summer but not now. He has grown and played all his life in Celta Vigo and with his team fighting in battle relegation It´s very difficult to get him unless We make an extraordinary bid or payment his clause and player would agree.

In any case, I think He would prefer to go Swansea than Chelsea because He´s still young and needs to play, not warming bench

One last thing: Aspas is not a usual striker. His definition is good but not like most of powerful forwards. He plays as a permanent moving striker, trying to find spaces for him and creating for his mates, keeping and passing ball when He´s on a flank or at the midfield.

For me He is top class. He is able to dribbling in very little and make long diagonal like Messi save the distance of course

He has signed.....but not for any British club.....forget him now and move on to someone else....should have gone in early...

i think its Valencia....not sure as i tuned in just as it was announced on talksport earlier £8.5 million

£8.5 is well in our price range today and thats cheap for a quality player like him. what swayed it was a garenteed 5 1/2 year contract..

The deal is not done with Valencia. They don't have the money to sign him and his brother (also his agent) has denied any knowledge of this deal. Paper talk again, we still have a chance to get in there.
