Enrique seemed right at the time as you say. Things have worked out better than expected (even Pards and the board admit that). It would be wrong if they sat there thinking "we knew all along this would happen". That would be bullshit. Its been a mixture of hard work by their staff, good luck and good judgement. Its a shame we feel the need to boo the likes of Enrique. I mean we booed Sir Les, but only after he'd been given a raucous reception. And when he scored it was cheered like a home goal (mind we were 3 or 4 up at the time I think).

Maybe with Carroll it could work but I often think giving him no reaction at all would hurt him more. He'll find it a bit of funny situ and booing might just focus his mind. And do we really need to do much? He has not been setting the world alight so I'd be reluctant to give him any motivation to do so.

I suppose for me I just look at the whole situation and think with Carroll, we have a lot to thank him for to be honest. The money has made us what we are now. Without it Mike would have spent zilch in the summer. No Ba, no Cabaye, no Santon. With Enrique I'd still love to have him, god knows we need a left back badly. But he stuck with us for 5 years, to the detriment of his own career when we went down, and whenever he was on the pitch he was 110%. I liked him a lot because I've seen plenty of players come through that door and not give a ****.

Its not so much the booing I don't like, its the not taking the time to thank him for his efforts while here that I don't like.

I thought we would have learned by now that booing ex-players does not put them off it makes them play better against us and generally leads to them scoring.

Agree here. If we boo, he knows we have a degree of emotion about it.... Which we don't. He was an average striker with only a few tools in his box. We got much better players with his sale money.

We should channel our energies into booing Dogleash as there is no way it will make him a better manager... Dour faced, hard drinking twisty faced old ginger ****er he is.

I always laugh when Chelsea come up to SJP and Cole gets booed.
