I've a mate who lives in Claygate and he said the place has been under siege for the past few days, now with the evacuation as well, they won't know what's hit 'em...
There's not even any real point to having a helicoptor there. It's basically just for the caption moment and looks no better than Google Street View from a cherry picker. Hope they give you some respite soon.
I once bought a bag of chips on Brighton Pier, by the time I walked back to the end of the pier my bag of chips was empty. Every time I raised a chip to my mouth a seagull would swoop and snatch it out of my hand. End result? Twenty dead seagulls with broken necks. I always knew that those Karate lessons would be useful one day.
You've hit the nail on the head. Nothing ever happens here Sooper. If anything it has probably disrupted the wife-swapping practises. That's about it for around this area...... Oh and those Chelsea lot live here. You often see JT's motor parked in a disabled space. But he just thinks the fine is a parking fee. That is pretty much spot on Matt. I have to pass that family home pretty much every day. Every time I get hounded by news crews as to get an insight into the poor family that was the result of this horrible murder. After five days of it I feel like making something up just to see if it gets a mention on Sky breaking news. They really do have shallow jobs and are so desperate to get even the smallest insight into this tragic family.
If I ever win the lottery, then Milan is the place I'll live in, sorry Imaz With regards to Northern places: - Boro makes Camden look like Dubai. - York and Harrogate are full of toffs. - The less said about Darlington the better. Like Newcastle and Sunderland.
workington that place was deserted, arrived there on sat about 8.30 after leaving hq at midnight, took over cafe & snooker hall later that morning, all good fun but what a dive. also stoke ****e hole.
I once spent 5 hours on Tamworth station. That waiting room was special - reminded me a bit of an overcast day (seen from the confines of a grey room with a very small window). Would recommend it to anyone to reignite your love for life.
To be fair parts of London are pretty foul: Eltham, Bermondsey, Dagenham, New Cross and a few more. Football clubs in the area are of course just probably coincidental.
Went to Sofia to watch Wales. Attacked and spat on by Bulgarian fans who had swastikas all over their faces. We legged it and never saw a ball kicked. Wont be going there again!
I would add two places in the States that totally underwhelmed me and one in Europe. 1. Las Vegas What a dump. Full of hookers, drunks and gamblers and low class American scangers. It is like Blackpool transported to the Nevada desert. 4 days in it is way too much. 2. San Francisco I have never been pestered by so many homeless people begging and pushing shopping trolleys full of plastic bottles. I ran out of the dive. 3. Marseille One little strip around the port is nice. The rest feels like Marrakesh rather than a French Mediterranean city. The problem is the ambience rather than the people. My dislike of the city wasn't helped by the fact that I paid a fortune to stay in a dive of a hotel about 3 metres away from a tram line and didn't sleep a wink for 3 days with the constant noise and the bastards refused to refund me a penny of the money I paid. You are welcome to it Joey.
