From my current game of Championship Manager:

"Stoke's Lionel Messi has won the World Player of the Year award..."

This is after winning the Premier League for the second time in three years.

Ha ha brilliant. I'm still in my 2nd season on Football Manager. Up until December, we were creating loads of chances but we couldn't score them. So I made us tighter and harder to beat, played 2 holding players in a 4-2-3-1 formation and it's paid dividends thus far. Not a bad team:

Begovic

Onouha (loan)-Huth-Shawcross-Insua (loan)

Van Bommel-Battaglia

Pennant Adam Etherington

Kadlec

Sounds like im still in the dark ages playing FIFA10, Stoke always seem to be relegated in the 1st season in the prem :tongue:. Recently been revising on my footie knowledge from 2 seasons back, always useful. ;)

I'm still playing Championship Manager 2001-02! You can get updates so the players and teams are right for the season you're in, but all the dates in the game are ten years out of whack, and the "history" section is missing a decade.
 
I played Sensible Soccer 1997/98 for about 10 years! What a game.

Right now I play Fifa 11 and my team (I wish...) in the 2013-14 season is

and I still have $20 mill in the bank. I wish is right.

I'll add you on PSN, but I can't play online at the minute, apparently my EA online pass is invalided, and they want me pay £6 for a new one, so I think I'll leave it till FIFA12 comes out.

And is that Coutinho a youth from Inter? I've got him on my team, and another youth from Real called Canales, they're both dead good CAM or out wide.

I've had the same problem but then it went away on it's own and was able to play online again. Fifa 11 is a really broken game.
Thanks for the add, and yes Coutinhio and Canales both on my team and both grow into the mid 80's.
 
It went away for me for a while. . . At first when PSN came back online I couldn't sign in at all, then it went away and I was back to playing online, but now I can sign in, connect to the EA servers, get onto Ultimate Team, do the trading and all that, play Single Player UT matches, but everytime I try to actually play online, I get asked to buy a pass.
 
Ring ea support, they give u a free new multi use one. (I had the same problem). Number is in back of any ea manual (or look online I guess)
 
No worries, i've always been interested in Stoke, mainly because of Rory Delap's long throws :) Probably one of the best football sights. If Stoke win the europa league, and Barcelona win the champions league you'll get to play in the super cup. Now that'd be a game!
