cHECK BACK THRU MY POSTS i have not 'turned on him'. In fact I have said he is massively overrated from day one. 312 million for o'neill's #'tore andre flo'.
I reckon most people on here have read your previous posts. Probably the reason most people on here...the real Sunderland fans...The ones who go year after year...Know where we are as a club..treat you comments and posts as the ramblings of someone who hasn't got a clue. But whatever get through the day...if it makes you feel good spouting crap off...then go for it, but don't expect anyone to take you serious fella.
Apart from Fletcher name one other attacking player for us who has shown consistency? Answer? None. Reason? MoN has had no choice but to play far too deep this season thanks to a rickety, inconsistent and injury prone defence THAT NEEDS EXTRA PROTECTION. Not MoN's fault. It's just what he inherited. To attack the way we want to (Which would suit AJ's style of play) is simply impossible at the moment. Until AJ is allowed to play further up the pitch he's going to need time to adjust to a defensive style of play which is alien to him. Your comments, as always are not thought through. You're a limited thinker at best mate.
IMO the two centre backs that MON brought in have been poor. Kyrgiakos was quite simply awful and Cuellar is way past his best. I find it bemusing when people actually rate Cuellar as a decent player. Ofcourse I've excluded the 3rd recruit, Mangane, as apparently Mangane still isn't fit enough to start a game of football as of yet. Hopefully Mangane is a good footballer although according to his reputation Mangane is a red card waiting to happen. Not impressed at all to be honest.
To be fair mate one was on loan and the other was free. I can see most of the summer budget going on the back four with long term replacements. He hasn't really set about beefing up the defence. Budgets are a mare but this summer I expect it to be addressed.
Aslong as MON brings in players that are fit enough to start a game and are good enough to play in the premier league I don't mind how much they cost. If we are on a budget of lets say £20 million plus anything we sell this summer, its not likely to be enough to make any major progress for the squad as a whole assuming MON decides to spend a wedge on 1 or 2 players. I believe that our scouting system needs an overhaul as bringing in an unfit Mangane doesn't reflect very positively on whoever scouted him nor does it reflect very well on MON who took the decision to recruit him. Especially if the reason we play so deep is due to an injury prone defence. Newcastle are trying to do it on the cheap and appear to be having moderate financial success but are performing poorer on the pitch. You never know, Wes Brown could be like a new signing this summer!
hoping for a bit more than 20 million this season with the new tv money. those leaving out of contract should see the wage bill drop significantly as I'm led to believe kilgalon and bramble are on way too much money I can see Wes pulling up again. Class defender but should never have been signed. If we can get shot, the free wages would give us some real pennies to play with for a replacement.
Johnson has been pretty crap, but that doesn't make him a crap player. Something's clearly gone wrong and whether it's the way we play or he's just in bad form, I don't honestly know. But at least he's acknowledged that he has to (and by implication, can) improve, so that's a first step back to playing consistently well. We certainly need payers of his quality, but we also need them to play well. Fingers crossed...
He looks off the pace to me, Sess skinned Jenkinson which led to the sending off, Johnson could not manage it all first half. To me he does not look 100% fit or committed. He is 1/2 a yard short at the moment, but if he wants to train hard and show us what he is capable of he could get back into the England set up.
Just because I don't go along with the majority 'i haven't got a clue'. despite all the evidence to the contrary people still say Johnson is a good player or a flair player. Erm, no he is not he is a complete waste of 12 million pound. The excuse that people mark him or double up on him does not wash with me. They double up on Gareth Bale he simply beats them and scores goals. Bale is a good player Johnson isn't, it's as simple as that. Our fans are as deluded as those up the road. As for the 'give him time' argument. Ffsake its nearly march the season is nearly over and if MON is gonna waste money like what he paid for johnson maybe he needs to go.
As I said........whatever gets you through the day. I don't go with the majority, I go with what I believe in after watching football for 50 years. We have signed many many crap players in the past. Johnson isn't one of them. MoN is a quality manager who is trying his best to turn the fortunes round of our club. Thank God the majority of fans are behind him and his players (thats what support is all about) You carry on with your nonsensical ramblings..most on here find it amusing
