    My father was a welshman so I do support Wales in memory of him. Both Rugby and football.

    I noticed that some of the Welsh fans were holding up a banner with NO TO TEAM GB, Gareth Bale will walk straight into that team and represent Wales too....
    I don`t really understand the problem with him playing at 2012 Olympics

    Have a look at the thread on the Cardiff board about it. It threatens our existence as a separate footballing nation, that is why people are up in arms about it. To the English FA it's no problem, because any future "Team GB" would essentially be Team England plus any players they fancied nicking from the provinces, but for Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland it's a pretty big deal.

    It's not a FIFA sponsored competition though Scott , basically I am all for it ! And our FAs have no jurisdiction over individual players should they choose to play for teamGB as the competition has sod all to do with them.

    And Brendan Rodgers happens to agree with it

    It's such a shame that the likes of Bale, Ramsey & Allen are probably not going to represent a GB side. I'd love to see them playing in a British team, but it's more than likely they're not going to get the chance. They would really grace that side & I understand them wanting to feature. But as ever, there's always other influences in sport & the future of Wales as a separate footballing nation is paramount!!

    I read reports saying Ramsey is adamant he will play if selected, and will go against the wishes of the WFA ................
