    I ****ing hate chris waddle always having a pop current players. It's easy to sit on the side and criticise everything but it just makes him look like a twat.

    I agree - both good players, who played their entire careers in very good teams.

    Would Man Utd have won those trophies without Beckham? Almost certainly yes they would. Without Scholes? No. Without Giggs? No.

    Like all of Beckham's life, its style over substance.

    it's strange that Beckham's ability or rating as a top player is now being questioned. On "Football Focus" yesterday there was a comment that Paul Scholes was better. Although I agree that Scholes has been a brilliant player for club and country, Beckham always seemed to be able to produce something magic when the occasion warranted it. His goal again Greeece was superb and as stated above, he was even better at set pieces that Matt Le Tissier. As great as Le Tiss was, I couldn't see him getting in to the Man Utd squad of the 1990's.

    Why do people harp on about Beckham's goal against Greece? Didn't win England anything for the "golden generation".
