After Bielsa's intervention, Leeds are completing the paperwork for French International Striker Jean-Kevin Augustin.

The 22yo turned down a multitude of other clubs and looks certain to join. (Medical and paperwork must be completed by midday on Monday if he is to play Tuesday night against Millwall.

So, we might have a decent attack against the wall. If JKA signs in time, and Bamford still plays I'll show my arse in Harrods.

In my opinion not a chance he will feature against Millwall even if he signs tonight, same with Poveda, it just isn't Bielsa's way. He will want them on the training ground, he will want them playing an U23 match and if they're lucky they might make the bench a week later. Poveda will play in tomorrow nights U23 game you see

It almost sounds as if you're not happy with the team/squad that currently lies in 2nd ?

 

If players can't adapt they really need to pack up. You bring in players to make an impact, no! Personally feel we need some unpredictability at least the new chap looks to be able to keep his shots in the ground

Totally agree with this. Bielsa just doesn't throw new signings straight in.

 

To be fair in the last 18 months we haven't signed anybody, well not for real money and the ones we are talking about are Izzy who was injured and then when given an opportunity wasn't really up to it and Eddie who was given opportunities but probably didn't fit the style of game Leeds play. I think Kiko came straight in and White.

 

Will be interesting to see what effect if any, the arrival of a new striker, will have on Bamford. Increase or decrease obvious pressure on him?

 

If there hasn't been a good amount of discussion about this within the team and explanation of why it is happening, in a positive way i.e. more options, ability to change the pattern of play, cover to injuries etc, then I think he would, as I'm sure anybody else would if somebody was added to the workplace to do your job, take it negatively. I'm sure that this will have been properly addressed though.

 

Surely what we really needed was a holding defensive midfielder?
