Their next 4 fixtures are Southampton A Watford H Bournemouth H Burnley A If they cock these up then they are right in the shoite. I wonder if - like us 2 years ago - their players prefer playing away from home due to the negativity from the terraces.
They're only 3 points from safety at the minute. If they walk away with less than 3 points from those 4 games, i.e. Played 13 and only 4 or 5 points on the board then I'd be very worried as a mag fan. That's a 3rd of a season gone and 30+ points still needed. Having said that, I still don't see the mags going down. But they have to recreate the form they showed in the 1st half against Man U when they were most impressive! If they win 2 of those 4 games they could be up to around 15th in the table and everyone will be wondering what the fuss was about.
I think they can get 6 points from those four games, Newcastle have some very good players in that squad and a couple of wins as Burly says should see them out of the bottom three, once they get out they should be OK imo. It would make it interesting next season if all the "big three" were in the Championship, but it would be better for us if we all met the year after in the Prem.
