I think Jose will do well to finish 5th next season. If he can achieve that, I think the United plastics will begin to take to that. Then, consolidate 5th for a few more seasons, making it their own, and he might get some grudging respect.

Mourhino used to be a top manager, but I think he's had his bubble well and truly burst, now. The problem you've got is that he'll use United to try to get back at Mad Dog, using United's players as pawns in his egotistical game. I'm not sure that that's going to be in United's long term interests. For the short time that he's going to be at your club, he will do some damage; you've got to pray that it's not irreparable.

I always get Trebs confused with Custard.

 

It's about the club as much as the man. He is a figure that grates on people, but at the same time he's wanted to manage United more than any other. He's turned down PSG where he was guaranteed league titles and CL footie and the same salary, to come to us. That says something about his character and motivation for managing United. It's genuine and everyone can see it. As a United fan that's a good start in this day and age, and therefore it's easy to give him my support. The rest only time will tell, but we will see.
