  1. I think Jose will do well to finish 5th next season. If he can achieve that, I think the United plastics will begin to take to that. Then, consolidate 5th for a few more seasons, making it their own, and he might get some grudging respect.

I can't say that United are really a rival for us, now.

  3. Meh.

Mourhino used to be a top manager, but I think he's had his bubble well and truly burst, now. The problem you've got is that he'll use United to try to get back at Mad Dog, using United's players as pawns in his egotistical game. I'm not sure that that's going to be in United's long term interests. For the short time that he's going to be at your club, he will do some damage; you've got to pray that it's not irreparable.

Incidentally, Mourhino was sacked by Chelsea because he was going to get them relegated. If there is anyone who ought to be worried, it's you, my friend.

Although this is an attempted wum , there is a certain amount of truth to this in my opinion,
And not just for Man U but all the top teams will try to change things up to quickly , after sh:tting the bed this past season .They will be overwhelmed with new " Expensive " players and in some cases managers , and be unable to gel a team to make a run for the title .

How will damaging United help him get back at Roman?

Surely the best way for him to get back at Roman would be to win trophies with United (although even LVG managed to win a trophy this season).

That's better HIAG. Plus points, you've trotted out the same old stereotypes with a bit of eloquence. Your execution lacked bite though. Try again but forget the fact that you like me.

Best way for Mourinho to get back at the Russian is to cosy up to the Russians ex wife and spent all her money .

  8. Attempted! How dare you, sir!

A Wum-Master never has to try too hard, roofy.

Also, I use my wummery to impart nuggets of wisdom and truth. I am not surprised that you have found this whilst delving about in my last little nugget.

  9. What United surely need is what Fergie obviously sees in Poch - stability, coolness, an eye for young talent, and the ability to unite the squad.

By contrast, Mourhino offers none of these things.

Although Spurs' Newcastle 95 / 96 like capitulation at the end of the season put a huge dent in Poch's reputation.

  11. I seriously doubt it. The team gave up on him. We may see some players be got rid of for that very reason. Poch doesn't like slackers, that we know. I would be surprised if a future Poch side acts in the same gutless manner. Fergie knows that.

Only one title was won out of Manchester the past 3 seasons ( City ) with 1.2 billion spent on wages for both teams in that time frame .With the two new Managers hired to run both clubs this coming season , God only knows what the wage bill for this season will be for the 2 clubs with the only guarentee being rich and overpaid players .

Pochettino created a team in his own image, got them playing the way he wanted, won plaudits from neutrals and rivals alike; then looked helplessly on as they disintegrated like a wet bogroll once they felt the pressure. You'd better hope that's not just, like, what he does.

It was just 8 months ago that you were calling his 'past it' and 'tactically inept' etc etc etc. <whistle>

I can quite easily find the post(s) Treb.

Don't get me wrong, I understand you're going to support your new manager - but the FACT is everyone (including you personally) called him out for being a complete bellend, only a few months ago.

I know football fans are probably the most fickle fans in the world. But ffs have some dignity mate <ok>

  15. Sky, we have to believe that Trebs is on a massive wind up, that he knows full well what a complete and utter clown-muppet Mourhino is, and that he was pissing himself laughing when he wrote this thread. To believe otherwise we would have to arrive at the conclusion that Trebs a delusional plastic, which is something you seen in United fans.

It's about the club as much as the man. He is a figure that grates on people, but at the same time he's wanted to manage United more than any other. He's turned down PSG where he was guaranteed league titles and CL footie and the same salary, to come to us. That says something about his character and motivation for managing United. It's genuine and everyone can see it. As a United fan that's a good start in this day and age, and therefore it's easy to give him my support. The rest only time will tell, but we will see.

You're often confused HIAG. Probably down to your advancing years and having to constantly try and talk yourself out of a corner.
