Hope Murray loses and hope Chambers pulls out injured just before the Olympics. So the guy who isn't a drug cheating twat comes in.
Brett Lee has long since played his last test match, he can't last five days any more, Michael Hussey is a good shout though, but his brother David only plays ODIs same as Brett. They are all 35+ and are cresting the Sydney hill. I wouldn't pick any of them.
What has been good to hear is the Aussies praising us...shows that although they are rotten winners, they are good losers.
And Bradley Wiggins is winning the crazy death race, I mean TDF. Although cannot see Hamilton pulling on the yellow jersey at Silverstone. Good luck to all.
I like listening to the Aussie commentators, on the last Ashes series DVD's. Especially Ian Healy, trying to make some sense of it all.
I don't get this anti-Murray stuff, ok, the guy isn't a laugh a minute, but neither is Nadal or Federer. What he is, is a very talented Tennis player, who would have won multiple grand slams in any other era than now. He should be respected for his ability, not his personality, and it should be remembered that he was a survivor of the Dunblane massacre which, I think, is why he points to the sky after every win close to tears.
Never used to like Shane Warne but I think as a commentator and pundit he's excellent. Huge knowledge of the game!
Just listened to an American commentator and he said how nice Andy is and how he gives up his time to help others. Think this dislike stems solely from a throw away remark about the England football team...which is a bit rich considering all the things we say about Scotland!
Feel sorry for Marray and his partner who won the doubles yesterday. Virtually no coverage today in the two papers I read...I thought at least it would have been picked up as an omen or something for the Murray match. This was a massive story....wild card entry, ten years struggling away, playing with a partner only 3-4 times...zippo.
It's Doubles. It's the poor sibling to the Singles. As far as the press media are concerned they may as well play with table tennis bats. They make no concession that, with the added tramline areas, the angles are greatly enhanced, and it becomes a much more varied game. So Brit or not, wildcard or not, they get no coverage.
Yep same. I don't give a toss about the anyone but England stuff, and I like Scotland and Scottish people. Just think Murray is a pleb.
murray swearing his jock head off.Needs to take a leaf out of federers book,he'll only bang on about being scottish if he wins
