It's never ever that a Brit has won the Tour de France, but anyone who might be interested, try and watch the highlights of today's stage, where Bradley Wiggens aided by another fine British cyclist Chris Froome, blew the field apart on La Planche des Belles Filles today. It was some of the best climbing I've seen, and I've been watching cycling a long time. If Bradley does what he usually does in the TT, on Monday, we could be looking at the first British winner ever!
Australia looked second rate today, although losing the toss was a big factor. Rain got Hampshire out of the mire yesterday too, as the Mighty Martlets, who were on an unbelievable 205-6 after 17.4 overs when the heavens opened, ending proceedings for the night and giving the Royals a somewhat fortuitous point.
....but Fed`s got a fashion clothing range with cardigans with his initials on - that`s not right, is it ??
I'll give you that, he does not. And if Andrew wins, it will do me no harm or lose me no sleep, but I just can't will it. I'm not a Scot basher, I'm not trying to be difficult, I just have no affinity with the guy.
Yes, but he doesn't need another win does he? ______________________________________ I'll give you that, he does not. (I must remember its not just a two way conversation on here! )
What's wrong with a cardigan, a nice Aran job, coupled with some heavy gauge corduroy and stout brogues.
I can understand why people don`t take to him - he is intense, but we all have idiosyncracies. I think he is a funny bloke, in a dry way when he gets going. There is such pressure on him.
Just watched it on ITV Player, awesome stuff from the Sky team, and Bradley is well placed to consolidate in the time trial as you say. Cadel Evans won't give up easily though!
He did Evans for 1.43 in the Dauphine TT recently, winning that stage, even Tony Martin, world TT champion was 30+ secs slower. 53 km in 1hr 03.12. Awesome, when you consider that the track record for the hour is 56km.
I've just realised something..? Who beat Rosol..? Good luck to Murray tomorrow, but I'll be glued to the MotoGP racing from the Sachsenring in Germany. Ha..! My Firefox spell advisor [not checker, cause it's pretty flawed] is suggesting that Sachsenring should be Cheeseparing.
