I remember the sherbet fountains (?) which were a yellow paper tube of sherbet full of sherbet with a stick of liquorice in the end. Sometimes the sherbet shot up your nose as it was so fine and powdery. The other thing is how many things which used to be free but which now cost. Parking on a Sunday for example. 20p (4 bob!) to pump up your tyres. Well, that's inflation for you
I don't remember how much but Dominoes were ***s in packs of 5 - inhaling was like sucking on the exhaust pipe of a bus - not that I've done that - at the age of 10 they were the best.
Spangles! My mother used to buy me a packet if I behaved myself in Priceright South street. please log in to view this image I couldn't find a picture of Pricerights. I remember it was near Timothy White's and Macfisheries was round there too.
Does any-one else remember back in the mid-late 1990s if memory serves, the supermarkets were introducing their "value/basics/no frills" brands and they had a price war on certain products, with Tesco selling [max 3 or 5 per customer] Tesco Value Baked Beans for 3p a tin.
