I thought it was going to be exciting times when AVB came in considering how Porto played but it's mostly been dross this season.
His team selections are baffling. Why leave out Cahill?
I can only think the solution is Guus to the rescue and we can still get 4th.

    <ok>

Even if he just adapted his approach to setting the team up it would be a start, but he's steadfast in his views and his arrogance is galling given his lack of experience.

Jose started with the diamond and changed to the 433...so did Carlo...why AVB cant change the formation to get the best out of the team?

Just to add that AVB is lucky that Suarez and Arry are grabbing the back pages, for now.

Got to be honest and say that I wasn't particularly expecting excitement this season, but I was expecting a comfortable top 4 finish and an exciting time starting next season.
I don't think this division is that brilliant and the group of players we have should be able to, at least, finish in the top 4.
It seems that there is no motivation from the touchline and no plan B. Also, the players don't seem to have any sort of confidence in what they are being asked to do.
Yesterday, AVB admitted that the preparations for the match weren't good enough and it was down to him.
If the preparations weren't right then the question has to be asked, "Why the hell not?

Stop panicking guys. Give Avb till the end of the season at least.

We're fourth and in two cups still while playing badly playing without a striker!

5th <whistle> but from an outside point of view agree he should get to the end of the season, I still think it'll be hard to judge him properly until he's made some of his own signings rather than Abramaviches.

We're in a completely no win position. If AVB is sacked, we are simply repeating the very same act that is the cause of our problems. If we carry on, we genuinely risk missing out on CL, the financial gain and especially, seriously weakening our chances of attracting the players we need to improve us next season.
    Rock and a hard place.
Since this is a self inflicted situation, we MUST take our medicine and stick with the original long term plan ,until AVB shows he can't do the job when , and if , he has HIS team in place. Then it's a no brainer.
However, we should immediately bring in reinforcements such as Guus, or some inspiration such as Zola, to help AVB and lift the players. To do nothing , well that really would be suicide.
We also need to address the hopeless management team we have ,starting at the top, right through to the boot cleaners. Our problems are endemic, and will keep repeating as long as these dopes are in the Club.

Im in total agreement, I was all up for giving avb a chance. Watching pre-season I thought we and him looked good and I was excited about the new season getting under way. We have had some dire results and team selections that even my 6 year old questions!!!
AVB needs to go asap and I think he has the next game against Birmingham and Napoli to prove himself or he'll be out. We are not a team in transition - we still play pretty much the same starting 11 as last season with the same tactics and formation. It also looks like AVB has lost the dressing room as well as 99% of the fans.
Carlo and Ray should never have been gotten rid of, the sacking of ray was our biggest downfall.
Hiddink isnt someone I feel can lead us forward, sure he might help us stay in the top 4 but can he make a difference for a whole season, Jose - every fans dream but seriously he wont come back!

We should have gone for Pep imo, would bring amazing football to the bridge and is someone the players will want to play for.
