Hey mates!

I want to write a huge and very detailed article about the club's development since the semi final 1999/2000. As some may know I am a huge fan of the club and do know what happened in the last 2-3 years but for the rest I was simply too young.

At the moment I got stuck at the time when Leeds had to sell Thorp Arch and Elland Road but I don't know what happened then. Of course I know that Bates took over the club but how did that happen, was there anything inbetween, how did he take over the club, what were the first things he did with the club, how were the first reactions of the fans, ... and so on. I would need all that and more as detailed as possible. If possible the development until GFH Capital.

If you answer me, then please try to answer as easy as possible, my english is good but not for juristic things and so on. So please try to answer and describe in easy words.

If it is too much for a thread, it would be great if sb could send me a private message with the answers.

Thank you very much! Cheers mates!

The article will be published here: www.cavanisfriseur.wordpress.com

Can you hold off a few more months before finishing the article? The best period since 2000 is in progress and might have a hell of an ending

I won't finish before end of January I think! I began in mid November and got now 4 full pages and that just for 1999-2004. Now imagine how many pages I will need for 2004-2013/14! A lot to come ;)

2004? That's the old Leeds, this new franchise has only been playing since 2007/08 when the benevolent football world let the new club play in place of the scrapped club. <ok>

Glory would you really want me to write this artical for you <laugh> he was asking about Leeds recent history i am only to willing to fill in the bits you rose tinted ****ers dont see <whistle>

You could tell him why you have become infatuated with us. We know you like our warmth and charm but it's the higher quality footie that really makes you have LUFC as your favourite other team.

Nothing to be embarrassed about, we have a fondness for millwall, if we supported a small pub team we would want it to be punchy and unpopular.

Glory
my second fav. club is Bournemouth it used to be Darlington for many years but they seem to have lost their way abit <laugh>

to be honest with you but dont tell a soul Leeds are by no means my least fav. club <ok>

To be fair to him your profile page does suggest otherwise.<cool>

Pfft, just two?

The old club fans must be spinning in their grave.

To be fair, a history of the new Leeds is could be written as a post on this thread, but it's almost a summary of the other Leeds football Clubs. Born when one folded under a cloud and then bumbled around the second tier for most of the time. It just needs a bit of a bung scandal and it's same old, same old.

If the lad in the OP uses that, you lot are my witness for royalties. <ok>
