It's because the not606 Sunderland fans idea of banter is making ****ty articles like 4-0 going down lol.

Yeah, multi-board articles are what made 606, even when it was the WUMs. Old 606 was like a classroom with strict teachers, you'd chuck a rubber at your 'rival' when the teacher's back is turned in the hopes you don't get noticed and end up getting them in trouble.

New 606 is like a community college with open study periods. There's no teacher to rebel against so the only time we interract across boards is when the occasional idiot just screams out **** looking for a cheap laugh.

The humour of the old 606 was that we were treated like naughty children and so acted like it, we've so much freedom on here (not a criticism) that there's nothing to fight against and the mods aren't faceless BBC staff we imagine getting stressed.

I don't think the banter will ever be the same but as a mainly Newcastle/Sunderland forum (at the moment at least) I'm all for a bit more 'crossing the border' activity, so long as it doesn't degenerate into mindless swearing and 'no u'.
