people are saying they want consistency. I assume that means consistently good...there are only two teams in the league that can say they are that.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Man United, Spurs etc. all go through good and bad spells and they are currently better than us.

At this point, I'll settle for more ups than downs and some level of progress. At the minute we are getting that (compared to last season), so I'm happy.

As a group, you aren't the best for rating managers. Ie king kev, wanting rid of Sam allardyce, Robson etc.

He's very much Ashley's man is pardew. Its like getting your groceries delivered and blaming the bloke in the van when they swap something and you aren't happy with what they sent.

The geese fly south in the winter but some trawlers go east

Rating Pardew:

a. he cares and tries hard

b. this occasionally leads to him pushing over linesmen and headbutting opposing players

c. he is not tactically brilliant but is not a moron

d. he can inspire players

e. given time he can work out a system

f. he will front whatever ****e MA asks him to

g he does not spit out his dummy and quit when he is badly undermined

All in all, not bad. His overall win ratio is not bad.

I doubt that there is any better manager availabe who would be willing to take the job. Unless there is, we would be daft to want him gone. If we don't want him gone, we should support him
