I seem to remember alot of negativity before the game at the Emirates. Newcastle were priced at 11-1 and I had £5 on that bad boy.

I know our home form isn't the greatest and our backs will be against the wall. But if we can defend like we did the last time we played the Gooners there's no reason why we can't win by the odd sneaky goal.

So for that reason I will be backing the Toon to win (as I always do) and will be backing Kevin Nolan to be the man who does it.

    FETCH IT!!!!!!!

    HWTL!

Well, I can't see Newcastle winning this one. I've gone for the financial back-up ploy of laying the Toon and I hope that I lose my punt.

To be honest, I can't see our strikers scoring today.

I am not even going to bother to try to trade out of my lay position. I can't see Newcastle getting five now.

Seems you may end up regretting this just a little bit tash.

I like the enthusiasm though. I can't stand pessimistic Newcastle supporters who automatically assume we're gonna get beaten or thrashed. I really, really hope the Newcastle players never come across it.

Actually, one did. I have Simpson on twitter and he referred to a newcastle fan who said we would be thrashed 3-0 by Fulham in a tweet. He replied saying that it isn't something that they [the team] want to hear from the fans. It's **** like that which just aids in lowering the confidence of everyone.

Pack it in and give your team SUPPORT. You're not fit to call yourself a supporter if you don't.

Optimism is a different animal to realism. For example, I laid Newcastle at 5.9 today. I expected them to lose but I hoped that they would win and even at 1-4 I hope that they do even though it costs me.

There is nothing wrong about having a realistic point of view of things.

Realism is fine. However, it goes from being realistic to pessimistic when people come out with things like 'we're GOING to get hammed' or 'we WILL be beat'. We've already beaten Arsenal before (and what a comeback that was for 4-4) so comments like those are just completely unnecessary.
