I was just going to suggest Christian, he wont park the bus he'd use the whole train set. We could have 1-0 Boring Arsenal back again which is after all the natural order of things.

I see it as a lose-lose for Arsenal either way. I thought he should have resigned in 08/09 after his team werew beaten in the FA Cup and CL semis. If not that season definitely the one after. Whilst I think Torres will never be the same player he was 3/4 years ago I also believe Wenger will never be the same manager he was 6/7 years ago.

The thing is a lot of the baying for his blood is reactionary and knee jerk. Many people calling for his head haven't once stopped to think who will replace him. Whilst I think Wenger should go, I actually think the longer he stays on, the harder he will be to replace as every season that passes by Arsenal look less and less likely to win a trophy.

Every Arsenal fan now realises the squad isn't good enough, the only disagreement is who is to blame. Many Arsenal fans I know are at the end of their teather with this regime but if Arsenal were to lose to Fenerbache that could be the absolute breaking point.

Spurs couldn't be going to the Emirates at a better time. Arsenal are down to the bear bones and even if they do sign players it they won't have time to settle. Arsenal need to regroup quickly.

You see, this is where the mentality of Chelsea and Spurs fans differ (well, i won't bunch everyone with me so i'll just say you and me).
This is the WORST time to go to the emirates because if we lose to that ****ing mess of a team it will be highly embarassing.

Oh how i long for a winners mentality!

I'm sick of seeing him get a struggling team into excellent form at the end of the year, as bizarre as Arsenal's transfers and lack of them have always been. I'd take my chances on a replacement.

Laudrup could be a great replacement. He'd be my first choice to replace AVB too, if we lost him.

Arsenal are going nowhere fast under Wenger so I'd be happy for him to stay and I've been saying this for awhile too. The board have removed their element of responsibility by making funds available yet here Arsenal are, no significant signings and only a panic bid for Cabaye on the table. Wenger needs a new start as much as Arsenal do right now.

If they are knocked out to Fenerbache and lose to Fulham he will resign, first managerial casualty of the season. He wouldn't risk getting the proverbial 'gooner' after a NLD.

Have to say, Wenger + G00n cash balance + a Baldini is quite a scary thought.

"+ Comolli, on the other hand"

Comolli at Liverpool, certainly. Comolli at Spurs : the Goons could find a Berbatoss and Modric.

No they couldn't - Jol identified Berbatov, and it was Levy in charge of the Modric negotiations.

You could be right, in recent seasons the team that has gone into the NLD in better form hasn't fared as well. But Arsenal are short in numbers and will get their act together after the International Break.

Arnesen got Lennon and Huddlestone, whilst Bale was hardly a hidden gem.
