<laugh> for **** sake can you hear yourself?

Whilst half the naysayers are saying the GB think they are better than everyone else (whilst comedically and with out a hint of self awareness placing themselves above the GB).

You get folk like you coming along and saying the GB should steward non GB members.

C'mon to ****, that is painful.

Nah, you think it's bollocks of the highest order, i'm telling you how I see it. If someone calling himself a "Fan" of Celtic is willing (or wilful) enough to let his own politics harm Celtic then he is not a fan.

    Bullshit.

Of course they are fans, just not the type of fans you like. In the same way that it would be bullshit to say that you and I are not real fans for sitting on our holes pontificating about it contributing little or nothing to the club.

It's a **** argument. Not worthy of you.

If the gb are getting the blame but are not responsible then say so. If the gb are attracting neds who cause trouble then say so.

Mts above has said the gb chose not to sit where they were allocated tickets for. They knew others would follow them.

Ive never ever needed a steward to tell me where to sit. Its not rocket science. When you are stood on the steps ite pretty evident its not your seat.

Also yes I do expect gb members or any celtic fan to tell a ned acting the **** to stop. Especially when they are allegedly getting the blame for said ned acting the ****. I refer you to above self policing has ensured celtic have had a good reputation world wide. The gb have to play their part too. They dont though do they? No instead they csmpaign for their non member who has been arrested saying it wasnt deserved and thus encouraging another ned to try it the next week

It's not an argument, it's my opinion and going by the vast majority of comments on here it's an opinion which is shared, sometimes even more forcefully than my own.

I don't behave in a manner which brings shame on my club, i'm not a bigot, I like to think of myself as a fairly tolerant person but I am also cynical and analytical, I can read and I can hear and what I hear in Glasgow is that Celtic's name is once again dragged through the mud by this latest campaign which is nothing but a sham. It's a confrontation, one of which we have become all too used to where the GB and their ilk are concerned.

If they are not part of the solution they are part of the problem, and the only thing the GB/FAC are part of is the problem. The song, whether you will admit or not is incendiary to a hell of a lot of people in Scotland. That is a simple fact. What kind of "Fan" will risk getting the Club into bother by singing it at the match whilst supporting their football team? The Law may indeed be a stupid illogical one, but changing the law will not make it acceptable to sing this at Celtic Park or any other ground. They have 6 days between matches to sing it almost anywhere they choose or download it as often as they like, no one will bother, it's a free world, but it has been established beyond doubt that it is not only unwelcome at Football, it is Kryptonite to Celtic.

I've supported Celtic all my fairly long life and I have dreamt of the day when songs like these are no longer sung at CP,the days of making ME feel like an outsider in my own Club's stadium are almost over, if it takes an unjust law to root it out once and for all then the end justifies the means as far as i'm concerned. Selfish? Certainly, but nowhere near as selfish as the people who will just not accept reason and are willing to see Celtic tarnished for the sake of their politics.

128 members of 111 were given precautionary bans following the Friday night match against Motherwell.
128 members of 111 were subsequently exonerated.

Even in spite of this the GB accepted they could do more so it is wildly misleading of you to present that they don't accept any culpability.

Perhaps you could write to Peter Lawwell with the money saving idea of not having stewards at matches?

If you are critical and analytical then you will accept that Roll of Honour has been sung by the Celtic support for 30 years and has proven not to be in the slightest bit incendiary. You will also accept the very clear, strong and lasting association between the Liberation of Ireland and Celtic football club. Not just Ireland and Irishness, but the liberation movement. So when people ask "what has this got to do with football" you can quite honestly say....not a whole pile. But when the pertinent question of "what has this got to do with Celtic." Then the answer is quite obviously a whole lot more than the disingenuous **** posted on this thread.

So when you say that these people are not real fans, you are pulling the exact same stroke Dev and it is bollocks. If you are truly analytical then you will recognise this as the truth.

We are talking about criminalising people here. You'd want to be damn sure you have it right before you do that and there isn't a hope in hell you can be and from your post it is clear that you don't care if you are or not. Certainly not a sign of a mature society or indeed the tolerant individual you think you are.

"accepting reason".... I've been reasonable here Dev and your response is to tell me that I'm not a Celtic fan and that if I don't accept your viewpoint then I should be prosecuted under a law you know is unjust.... And you want to call that reason? I don't think so.

I never said you are not a Celtic fan, I said anyone who sings it at Celtic Park is not a Celtic fan. The song is banned end of and I don't care if they've been singing it since Moses was a boy because it makes me feel like an outsider, do you not get that? Do you not get that some people don't like it, loathe it even, because it creates an Us and Them mindset? You do not think this song and others are highly offensive to even to a small selection of Celtic fans?

This was a club built for all, not for some gang of delinquent malcontents who wear their personal rebellion like a medal, acts of sheer stupidity and wilfullness are their stock in trade, and if you or anyone thinks the wind is shifting in their favour then you are dreaming. Even lads on here like Anp who have experienced the troubles first hand think they should stop.

It's time to move on and leave the baggage behind and drag some people into the 21st century, most people want nothing to do with them.

Clearly, but we are talking about it being sung within the Celtic support at Celtic matches.
The instances of it kicking off within the Celtic support for singing this song over the last thirty years number somewhere between zero and nought.

Dev wants to ignore that and is looking to extrapolate on something that is specific to the Celtic support.
In the same way he is looking to restrict the debate to "the vast majority of posts on this thread"... You know exactly what impression he is trying to create there and it's a heap of bollocks. It completely ignores the fact that each if the five main Celtic supporter groupings are wholly against the application of this legislation.

So can I conduct my argument in the exact same manner off the back of that? By the way of illustration, Dev said that he feels like an outsider at Celtic park. You know why? Because he is an outsider. He is one of a tiny minority of so called Celtic fans who support this anti Celtic legislation that he knows to be unjust.

That is analytical ain't it? Are you likely to accept that analysis? Probably not. The reason is that it is manipulative ****e. Just like Dev's. I'm surprised he is conducting his debate in that manner.

I don't believe anyone could support Celtic for any length of time and not know.
