Not disillusioned mate, just pissed off at a crap performance in a competition that we're not going to win but should be used by the players as a chance to stake a claim to play more regularly. I still back Warnock and think it would be madness to get rid of him during a transfer window. If we're really in the **** with 10 games to go then I'd maybe err on the side of bringing someone else in but I think he deserves a transfer window to bring in players he actually wants. I'd personally have started Macheda and Campbell but I'd also have given SWP a run to try and supply them with something. Macheda showed glimpses of a quality player and I hope he and Helguson get a chance at Newcastle.
How those players went onto that pitch today, without the conviction, desire and professionalism to do a job on MK Dons is beyond me. In front of a great away turn-out of fans. How could you not be inspired to give 100%?.... This was a shocking bloody display by all.There can be no excuses or positives from anyone in the club. Shame on those that sang against the team... Whatever happens on the pitch, we must keep it positive on the terraces. Negativity achieves nothing, a game can change in a sec if it only inspires one player. Rollercoaster has the most apt username on this board. To top him, I'm thinking of changing my user name to ' Doldrums..R. '
What I struggle to get my head around is why play such a weakened team? We need a settled starting eleven and this was a perfect oppurtunity to get some unity before Newcastle and Wigan. It's five days since Norwich, and EIGHT days until Newcastle. Instead, what we got now is Newcastle on the 15th of Jan, replay against MK on the 17th/18th and Wigan the 21st! Surely it must be possible to think two steps ahead from an experinced coaching staff? Now we'll have a full blown rotation for those three games, bigger chance of more injuries etc. And a definitive cup exit as we're going to field an even more weakened team for the replay. A right mess which could so easily have been avoided. Am i wrong?
