You're probably right, but it doesn't make any sense to me. Forster played (I assume) Udinese, Rennes, Atletico Madrid and Rangers last year. Butland can only dream of playing top European teams at the moment.
John Ruddy, you are amazing, great half from him. Looked assured and did everything he needed to do well. He's going to have a huge season for us.
Ruddy, Morison, Snodgrass, R. Martin all played tonight for their countries. Hoolahan and Pilkington were called up for Ireland; Ryan Bennett in U 21s, Butterfield and Rudd on the fringes of this. Is international recognition finally coming our way?
