Bryan, for me is one of those frustrating players. He can be very good and have the potential to go much further, but I do more suspect that his role will continue to be very much along the lines it is now. Not getting a stability of any real sorts. There have been several like him in the past, Joe Burnell, Simon Clist and Craig Woodman are some that spring to mind. Will go off somewhere else and do a job, but never likely to stand out. I saw us play out an end of season fixture with kids once or twice before. Andy Jordan was one name I remember the first time and the other was to introduce Joe Edwards, Amadi Holloway and James Wilson. We won both games, but very soon, their effort level couldn't be sustained and none of those went on to have any consistency with us. There seems little value in playing the loan players in the Crawley game, but maybe there's an opportunity to say thankyou to some that will be moving on at the end of the season instead, such as Carey and Fontaine. Never a favourite of mine, but he did serve City well for a number of years.
No loanees, no past it "old servants". Please let us start with the future of our club at the forefront and play our best under 24 year olds!
Sorry BRR I'm not having it. Your comment - 'Me thinx you are just falling for the hype surrounding him and Flourist' Nothing is further than the truth. Cotterill is a simpleton. If you disagree fair enough but don't insinuate I think he's an idiot because of Forest fans view of his accent.
History may repeat itself. The acoustics of the new Wedlock will have more in common with the Atyeo than they will have with the current Eastend. The Atyeo works as an enviroment for families etc, but as an "end" its poor. The club have not attempted to harness that Eastend sound in a modern design.
Rp, a "simpleton" a half witted person, now for a half witted person to get the club to where we are, from where we were, can't be bad, now if he can go from being half witted, to reasonably intelligent he could well get us promoted in time, your thoughts.
'if he can go from being half witted, to reasonably intelligent' Impossible. 'he could well get us promoted in time' Something quite different.
I doubt that SC would win Mastermind or Brain of Britain, but he hardly comes across as a simpleton. A typical football manager who first and foremost appears to be a very good man manager but maybe lacks a bit as a great tactician. But for League One seems fine to me. And I was not overjoyed when he arrived but so far so good!
We had GJ then... Coppell.....the deserter.. Millen.......the Sunday video man.. Delboy......the Scotsman.. SOD.........the thinking man's misery guts.. Cotterill....the saved us from relegation man.. I know which one I would choose any day of the week......Steve Cotterill..
His interviews on Radio Bristol are a breath of fresh air after SoD Telling quote from SL who said on the radio on Saturday "at least we have a manager now who can communicate"
Fair comment, but SOD, even back in the day when he was with Bournemouth and then at Doncaster he was never a jovial or a very engaging person in front of the media, so it's hardly news that he didn't change his persona whilst he was with us. Cotts isn't everyone's cup of tea, but personally I'd like to thank him for saving us from L2 and I hope we can carry this spirit into next season. If we can keep the key players and add another couple, then we might just be a force to be reckoned with.
Then tell us on what basis you regard him as a simpleton. Quantify your philosophy so we can all understand, and justify giving him a hard time when he has just performed miracles to turn the ship around. We were the Titanic a few months ago, then Cotterill got to work and turned us into a speed boat outta here. This does not happen by accident, and is definitely not the mark of an idiot
BRR, now didn't you know that Rp regards most of us as "idiots" & "simpletons" if we don't agree with him, you probably wont get an answer to your question, if you do, it will probably be something "simple or idiotic".
Anyone who went to Brentford might think he was simple and signing El Abd was the titanic till the penny finally dropped to bomb him out. Miracles no.
