Casual bit of racism thrown in for free...

Tbf Wishi, I only ever see you post when we lose/are doing poorly. In which case, I hope you don't feel the need to post again between now and May.

I don't give a flyin' **** what you think! What I say in the heat of anger and disappointment is one thing, what I do is different.

****in' 'ell it's coming to something when I can't even knee-jerk!

I posted a positive post about Downing after the CC final, FYI and I've also posted other positive things.

Win, lose or draw I'll be posting nothing else so you needn't worry

**** off, Lucarse, I moaned more about Downing than anyone else, but I've praised him since. So get your ****in' facts right about who I moan about. What's your problem, don't you have anything better to do than stalk all my posts?

    That's so sad.

Jesus Christ I said I was no longer gonna argue so I won't.

But look, bottom line is I'm not happy with our progress in the PL or some of our players, OK? Get over it! And it's more than just a ****in' blip! Hello? Where've you ****in' been all season?

And the fact I'm not happy means I care. Love to see you on the pitch you passionless git.

I forgot about the Lucaaas Crazyhorse arguments I had a few spats with Crazy myself. This was a crap leaving thread though there were much better moments on other threads where it would really kick off.

Have to admit that there was a point on this board when you couldn't be critical or sound off after being frustrated without being called a plastic or told to go support someone else. It wasn't one individual either, there was some serious pack hunting going on! I buggered off for a over a year because of it.

Have to say though that in general, it's a lot better on here. So far. I suspect it may get a little more heated as we approach squeaky bum time.

As we enter that phase, I hope that we can all appreciate that we share the same passion for the club but with varying viewpoints and opinions. What's the point of a forum otherwise? <ok>

kenny i get called all that too. plus wishi was a friend of mine online and i read the book she wrote too.

your point about respecting opinion is important. respecting opinion for me also means listening, thinking and then if you wish stating why you might have changed your own opinion or not based on the point made.

In short having certain wums like tobes throw out a flippant and insulting reply then assuming they are always right about every topic lowers the board quality. sometimes yes some fun is desirable and people going about posting some one liners for the fun of it is also desirable and a part of the board's ethos...

I personally think if someone posts 3 paragraphs pointing out valid reasons for their view and if someone else posts a one line FFS or a curse based insult back that person should be laughed off the board... i.e our mods have the discretion to do that before the escalate further

The thing is, if you criticise the wums for pointless disruption you're accused of having no sense of humour or "can't stand a different opinion", when we know they're not even trying to offer a considered opinion.
I don't really get wound up, but I do find it tedious and it makes the board unappealing. There have been many threads that I was interested in that I gave up on because they'd get hijacked by some pointless running battle.
I'm all for a few one-liners thrown in to add a bit of wit in the same way as they would be in a real conversation, but with some people it becomes more about them than anything they have to say.

I joined this board a good while ago and as you can see from my post count, I don't post a lot. I must have been on a sabbatical [?] when wishi was around as I don't remember this thread at all. Like mito said, wishi was a good online friend from bbc days, funniest poster around then [her and Hoke tbf]. She was allowed her opinion like everyone else and if it became negative all the time on here, well there's an easy way to avoid it. I respond to the threads that interest me and leave the rest alone.

Because I don't post a lot I tend to take a back seat on here and don't create many threads simply because they're not popular. It never ceases to amaze me how some 'fluff' threads can get in the 100's when footie ones barely take off - sometimes. I think the regular users know what each other like and go for it, that's fair enough, but don't then jump all over another poster like wishi for being seriously fed up with the footie.

Overall, I enjoy using this site.

There was also a few posters and wishi was one of them that would only turn up when it all went wrong and would not give reasons for their anger or any kind of reasonable analysis but just turn up once in a blue moon and slag off the team/manager, this was why they were met by such a harsh reaction from some people and I was very much one of them.

MITO replied sort of agreeing with you but he's a good example of a poster that might not be happy and may not agree with some on here but will give a valid informed opinion that may differ from the majority.

So I don't agree with the pack chasing away valid posters, wishi acted like a knob at times (sorry MITO) and was told as much, she didn't like it and left.

Anyway the whole board has adapted and is in general a happy place, there will be disagreements on occasion but that's just life. All opinions are valid and regular posters do get on with each other and drive the board forward, I see this as a good thing.

  20. I think people need to realise that there wasn't a hidden agenda against Wishi or MFG, in fact a lot of us appreciated their input as they often saw things from a different angle. However, they both left because of the same reason; they were very harshly critical of FSG/Brod and therefore not only in a minority, their view points were somewhat question and encouraged response.

When I say harshly critical, I say it for a reason. The board's always been able to be positive or critical of individuals or the team, but both Wishi and MFG were massively critical whether we won or not. What the players, managers, owners or team as a whole did, it wasn't good enough. IMO, neither of them ever wanted Brod and never accepted or gave him a chance once he arrived.

I would welcome them both back though as they were both very capable of holding a conversation / debate.

MFG was brilliant at destroying someone's viewpoint too, so to say (not saying anyone as on here) he was laugh away or forced out is somewhat ridiculous considering.
