Select 'Settngs' from waaaaaayyy up the top there.

Then on the left hand side, under 'My settings' - about halfway down - select 'Edit Avatar'

To get the file down to size, you'll need to use some picture editting software - the best thing you can do from the off is make it a JPG file. After that it's a matter of reducing colours/physical size of the picture - that sort of thing.
 
Yep. And I have my first 'friend' - woohoo. Happy now. :)

When I say first friend I should point out I have numerous friends in real life.

When, one or two. At least. :(
 
I suspect we're going to have to tolerate a lot less wumming on this board - well until everyone finds their feet at least. It's not the easiest place to navigate.

Defo a plus, we'll maybe still get some WUMs, but hopefully only the smart ones. ;)

the avatar can only be max 80x80 pixels so just paste it in 'paint' and then make it smaller to 80x80. but it made my avatar bit fuzzy <steam>
 
It's odd seeing who's reading this thread - "ShelfSideSpur - Tuck Me In!", I'm looking at you. Bloody Arsenal obsessed Spuds ;)
