Id love to hear Wenger's description of what it was. I wonder if it is the same as Gary Neville's description?
The mental strength Wenger talks about can't be the same thing, I mean, if it was, the team wouldn't bottle it every Feb/March.
Yes, I am pointing out that the trolling comment here: Was simply designed to create an emotional response and had no merit. Yes, I should just have reported Hothead for trolling yet again, but I hardly think that if a troll gets the emotional response they were striving for that they should complain.
Lazarus, what do you expect from a cretinous oaf like Toledo. He complains when he gets abuse but fails to realise the reason for the abuse is the condescending and snidey comments he continually makes, then he gets his knickers in a twist and has to go and have a lie down when he gets abused for being a hypocrite and a dumbass. As everyone can see, the level of animosity had lowered due to he and others arguing like adults. then he has to go and type some stupid **** - because he can't argue then has the audacity to accuse people of being trolls when in fact, it is HE who is the biggest troll, constantly sniping at people .. with his dud bullets. Fool, why bring a pea shooter to a gunfight ? To kill his comment with ease, he is running off his mouth about the Invincibles .. look how long ago that was, 2000 and blood clart 4. Stop living in the past, that is some "ancient day" business, its 2012 now.
Is anyone else a bit hacked off at Theo walcotts comments that QPR wanted it more! That kind of comment and attitude really drives me mad, and goes right to the heart of the mental strength debate. Shouldn't our players be really up for every game now (like the fans are). Wenger says stuff like every game is a cup final now, and then we hear complacent crap like this from Walcott. Third place could be seriously important if Chelski win the champions league!
Topgun - I agree totally with you. In this instance though I have a feeling what Walcott said was more of a cliche - unless people saw greater drive and determination in the QPR players. I didn't watch the match so I can't comment. It's worrying though that the suggestion is that the players are not up for it.
Having visited this site on many occasions and enjoyed reading a lot of the topics under discussion, I noticed that you are always right up there with your opinions, what confused me was, I wasn't sure which team you supported, so just wanted to say thanks for declaring your true colours!
well Verminator could be faulted for both goals. Putting that to one side - we didn't play well. Several guys looked like they were coasting and Rangers were 'up for it'. I do wonder yet again what happens in the dressing room team talk. Is it always so calm they stroll out half asleep?
That is true, but it suggests that he and perhaps others were feeling a bit lack lustre about it and he has just used that cliche to express it. It amazes me how pro fooballers in these big arena's in front of thousands of fans can have that attitude. The inconsistency of this Arsenal team is so frustrating, one week they are closing down the opposition like a pack of rabid wolves and next they are ball watching like Arteta and Song did for QPR's winner, dont even get me started on the defending for the first goal!
Unfortunately Verm was at fault for both goals, but we should be defending as a team, the opposition shouldn't be one pass and one defender away from scoring, which seems to have been the case allot this season. If Kos hadn't made a massive improvement in his game this season we would be mid table.
Not just Kos - what about RVP being far better than we could hope for, Oxo doing the business when given a chance, Chesney getting over the mad dashes out most of the time, Arteta glueing a lot together - and Rosicky being pretty much superb. Quite a few contributions.
