I went to Omagh CBS. They chose Shakespeare over Dickens so that wasn't too bad although I would have liked to study both.

We did Hard Times at school, didn't connect with it at all nor with Chaucer or Shakespeare. Orwell was OK, both 1984 and Animal Farm. Shakespeare, to be fair to him, did get us a trip to Stratford Upon Avon to see Romeo and Juliet. We were walking up a darkened corridor in the theatre behind some girls from another school. My mate reached past the boy in front of us and gave this girl's arse a good old squeeze then quickly stepped back. She turned round and glared at this other boy, one of the school nerds, who just smiled back at her totally oblivious. One of my favourite memories. Cue "cool story bro" picture.
