I don't want to see loads of new signings in the summer.

He's a championship player who is unproven in the EPL. He has an awful goal ratio of 35 goals in 160 apps, and his international record isn't much better.

We need a PROVEN quality EPL-level striker or two, and we've got the money to afford them.

I want Ireland, a striker (preferably pavalychenko), LB and or RB cover (what happened to Edgar), and possibly a winger as well depending on who, if anyone, leaves

Would Ronald Vargas fill that role...

You seem to have omitted Arfa, any reason?

We need for the first team in order of priority:

    A Striker
    A Left Winger
    A Right Winger

    Then could do with

    Another Striker
    Left Back
    Versatile Defensive Midlfielder (as cover)

2 strikers (at least who is better than any of the strikers we currently have).
    1 right back
    1 centre back
    1 left back (as cover)
1 Winger (Preferably a right one, but Ben Arfa, Jonas and Barton can play there).

With that we will defo be a top 6 team.

    Gosling?

I'd say a large chunk of the summer budget should go on a top striker (preferably non-prem as we'd be paying way over the odds otherwise). I'd love for us to sign Hulk but i think we've got no chance at that one, someone like him though; pace, power, a knack for scoring goals and a decent age.

Gosling is a box-to-box midfielder, IMO he looks better attacking wise than just staying back...may become our next ''Nolan'' but with a better ''engine'', skill, youthfulness and activeness in the middle!

Don't think we should be looking at a CM at all this transfer window coming tbh. Need fullback cover on both sides (depending on youth) and a proper RW

I dont think we need a LB if Jose stays.
We have Ferguson as back up and what ive seen of him he is one for the future, also jose is unbreakable and we have Perch as back up.

I agree with what you say but it all depends on who is going to leave this summer, after Carroll leaving you just never know who will go next. I hope we keep our key players in the summer and get some more money in by releasing the deadwood.

    IMO we could do with
experienced striker (would be happy with Elmander on a free or Bendtner for £mm)
A young striker to come through the ranks with Nile.

Beyond that I think we need a left winger (as Arfa, Barton, Jonas and Routledge can all play right)
    Cover for left back.
    Cover for right back.

Obviously I don't expect us to sign 10x Tiote with the Carroll money but think we could get 5 - 7 signings that would really strengthen the team and allow us to kick on.

    Fat Man permitting.
    Cover for right back.

Think he was only there for a month to gain match fitness.
