Having an ex-player as manager is doomed to fail... Look at the example at the scousers...sh*t manager dragging the club down, with the club hands tied by the fans. Thanks but no thanks.
i know he tarnished himself lately with his private life but i dont think its fair to compare Giggs to your schit
Yeah, cos Mourinho's never walked out of a half done job when another opportunity comes free If anything, Mourinho winning the CL and La Liga is more likely to make him leave, as he always likes to quit on a high rather than trying to build or maintain the position.
I don't think he would leave. In fact if RA hadn't sacked him I think he would probably still be at Chelsea now.
I doubt it tbh. He'd have stuck around a while longer, but when the Real job came up he'd have been out the door like a shot, without caring what happened to Chelsea. Porto and Inter. Both times he walked out halfway through his contract and failed to defend the trophies he had won. Heck, at Inter he practically had his foot out the door after the Barca semi final.
I thought winning the CL was job done personally but each to their own. I think Mourinho has done the right thing for his career to be honest - managed in multiple leagues and won everything so far. Done it all young and has even said himself (IIRC) he will return to the PL after Madrid and settle at a club for the rest of his career. If I was you boys I'd rather have him than let him go City.
What has Moyes won?Not even a Cup success in 10 years at a top ten club. He has done a good job at Everton, not a great job, which would be like winning the UEFA Cup with Everton and breaking the United/Chelsea stranglehold on the PL. I dont get this "on a shoe string" nonsense either, Fellaini £18.6m and Baines £10m are not "shoe string" signings. If our job advertisement reads, Global appeal club seek dour Scotsman, then Moyes and around 2 million others will be optimistic in their application.
I'm assuming that was money from the Rooney deal that was spent on Fellaini and Baines. Maintaining a team that's consistently pushes for Europe on a tight budget, that typically sells it's best players is a pretty good sign of Moyes being a good manager. Who knows what he could do at a bigger club.
After managing Real Madrid and assuming for the purposes of this he come to United next then can anyone name a club in the world who could possibly be a bigger job. Hes unlikely to go back to Real and Barcelona most likely wouldnt want him. Where is he going to go after United? Surely its all downhill from there?
true, however he might move the goalposts a bit and actually want to challenge himself and go to a club with not much money or star players in order to start some form of legacy.
I dont think we should be taking gambles with our next appointment, we do know that he has not won anything, we do know he has really struggled in European Football, we do know that he has brought Everton to 2 semi finals and a final, losing the lot.Im not saying Moyes is a bad manager, just not a Manchester United manager. If he were to take the Spurs job or similar and won a few pots he might rule himself into contention, until then I would be against it.
Sid Lowe posted this on twitter - Mourinho again hands over press conference duties to Karanka, even on eve of clasico.
Sounds like Fergie, sign him up he is a ****ing legend he is perfect for us. He is a winner and everyone hates him, true man utd man
I think it's a very smart move by him to not do the press conferences this season because him not saying anything seems to have everyone more wound up than anything he could possibly of said.
You know you are good when people get pissed off no matter what you do. Its the same with Fergie. I say pissed off when I really mean jealous.
