Haven't got a chuffing clue mate. My predictions to date have been garbage. Sadly, I agree villa will be ok. Newcastle are dire & in disaray but get Cisse back he might start getting goals again. They can't carry on being that bad, can they? We can only hope. *They've just announced Carver is staying, so that's good news for the rest of us. Though you were going to be almost out of it but that win yesterday keeps you in the mix. Hull have got awkward games but got a win at Anfield, so will have confidence of more points. We're on a good run but I'm far from confident tbh, a confident leicester fan is a hard thing to find! Ed is our most optimistic fan & he started the post. It's going to be a long, nervous 3 weeks is all I know
We are still in it & we have a chance, some thing most, inc me, never thought we´d be saying come the start of May. Sunderland is the mother of all `6 pointers`. Will Arsenal & Chelsea be on holiday by the time they play Sunderland ? Will we keep up our good form ? Will Newcastle carry on their bad form ? Will Hull over come their tough end to the season ? Will Villa do enough ? **** me what an end to the season. "WE ARE STILL IN IT REMEMBER THAT"
I think we'll know more after you've played Everton. That's a must win for you. I think you're in trouble if you don't win it.
Only if the Mags beat west brom. I think 4 points will be enough to finish above the Mags. Don't think they'll win again this season but could have a few draws left in them. We've got the early kick off that weekend so if we don't win it's going to be an extremely uncomfortable afternoon that's for sure and we'll be waiting on other making a mess of their weekend.
Newcastle United ... all teams will be feeling nervous ... put yourself in a similarly nervous Sunderland fan's position ... they have to go to Everton next ... an Everton that have stuttered away yet have been good at home ... they smashed Man United 3-0 in their last home game .... so what if Everton win and we beat Southampton who admittedly were good earlier in the season but have now lost key players to injury and have lost at Stoke and Sunderland in their last away games ..... The above scenario leaves Sunderland 4 points off us with 2 to play ... they then beat us ... so on the last day they then need to get a better result against Chelsea than we do against QPR .... which fixture would you prefer? But again .... this may all be irrelevant .... start where I finished .... Newcastle United ... they look about as likely to win a football match right now as Esteban Cambiasso replacing Joe Hart in the next Head & Shoulders adverts ....
Naismith has said & I quote "Everton can creep up the table & finish the season in style" Yeah ? well start v Sunderland then.
I thought we needed 1 more win before Sunderland won, now i think we need maybe 4 more points, including not losing to Sunderland.
Hull started off OK but once they went one down and started to press for an equaliser they've just been taken apart ... Arsenal final ball has been exquisite .. Cazorla in particular ....
We'll be fine. Pearson will keep everyone's feet on the ground. With injuries now clearing up and the influence of Cambiasso in midfield and Huth at the back, we play much better football than those around us, and with fortune starting to balance itself out a bit, I reckon the QPR game won't even be an issue.
Hull gave it a go but there was a real gulf ... Arsenal should have scored at least three in the second half - how Wishire's effort was not judged to be a pen for handball is baffling ...
Wilshire was also pushed over in the box. Now not only are we not receiving penalties*, but neither are the teams that we need to win! *yes, I realise we got one on Saturday, but it was hardly a crucial one**! ** Unless you could goal difference!
