With regards to the wayne bridge thing, terry was in the wrong but what did the media do? Crucify terry, In one paper it was revealed that she had slept with 3 other chelsea team members but not once did you hear them make a big deal out of that, wayne bridges girlfriend was a slut and slept with a load of his team mates yet the only one they decide to pick on and crucify is Terry, in my opinion that's having it in for terry.

Mutu and Gudjohnsen aswell plus one other mystery star but they never even bothered to look into that, just decided to try and tarnish terry.
And the media is to blame for footballers repuation because half of it is just a load of bollux, you do realise half of them just lie and lie and lie to get a story worth reading don't you? Look at the News of the world scandal for example

 

The media are quick to jump on anything chelsea related, for instance when lampard was dropped for one game he went into the tunnel about 80mins into the match to get something from the changing room yet they decided to make headlines saying he walked off due to not being played and saying his career is most likely over.
Ashley cole shot that kid by accident with a air rifle and the pellet which hit him which would of caused a minor wound yet the papers decide to make it look like he nearly murdered him.
This incident is un chelsea related but another example of how quick the media are to jump on something and twist it into a story - balotelli threw a dart at a dartboard and it bounced off and nearly hit one of the youth players and they reported he purposely threw darts at the youth players lol

The Times today has an article which says that Capello will not be moved to replace/ drop JT as the England captain ! It is featured in an article "Stand by your man!" which tends to substantiate the belief that Capello knows JT well enough to know that he is not racist! I think he interpreted his anger with Ferdinand as the final straw in his frustrations with Foy, thus showing the passion Capello expects from his captain!

 

He's not a racist! People just hate him too much to weigh out the things that stand in his favour.

 

I don't even know anything about it so why comment other than so say the FA are far too quiet on all cases given their support for the kick it out campaign. Fa hide their heads on every issue that comes up don't they?

Oh I know, John Terry is a berk - no doubt about that. However, there's a difference between doing selfish acts and being racist. He has welcomed police and FA investigations so this shows he's confident in what he did.

Was meant as a bit of a python joke, however, there is no need to tell us about people assuming guilt becuase he has done other stuff, did you see the **** on here when the suarez thing broke. Saying that, there does seem to be some evidence in the terry case.

 

The fact is the media are all over this because Terry is Chelsea and England captain. Most of Terry's reputation as you put it is media invented to sell papers. Terry is no more or less commited or agreesive on the field as say Jamie Carragher. As for Footballers having affairs (even if the Terry stories are true), is this really something that suprises you??? It's been well proved with Giggs that even the most 'model' pro is a revelation away from a tarnished reputation. And 9/11, jesus wept, this was 10 years ago. Terry was what, 19 having a drink and a giggle in an airport i.e not a crime.

 

I don't believe Suarez was either. No evidence on it and if he'd done it as many times as Evra had said he had - surely the referee or SOMEONE would've caught him.

If he knew only Evra was in ear shot he could have been whispering it under his breath and cameras or players further away might not have picked up on it. Not to say that Suarez did say it but it would be easy to do and I could imagine him saying it to wind up evra. Suarez has that sort of win at all costs character hence the diving and world cup incident.

 

Lets hope Anton tells the truth aswell and doesn't get swayed by his brothers bitternes over losing the england captaincy
