Me too Warky, it's not like we've been taken by surprise by it either, I think that the 'plenty of twists and turns before the seasons over' argument has run its course for us now.
Well I've only just woke up and seen the score. I have no idea how we played but the result is disappointing, not much I can say about the match really. Agree with those that say Chambers needs to move centrally again, that's been obvious for some time. Still time for things to change.
Oh Warky!!!! Kinda pointless giving it a good go, you all know my thoughts and as said before, i would have much rathered i was hiding from you lot coz Mick was proving me wrong big time. I have always felt micks tactics are far too negative, desire/will and hard work will only get you so far, creativity and quality will always come out on top in the end, lets face it, without Murph we would be bottom 3. Am watching my beloved Bayern at the moment (always supported them since about 6 yrs old, not sure why but only a touch less love for them than Ipswich) what a difference playing football makes, yeah i know they have quality but its not rocket science, ball on the deck, quick passing etc etc. That will always beat hoofball and
Now for my third love, Barça, oh dear go from Ipswich to Bayern to Barça. My daughter is Barca mad and just told me to open another bottle for the game, she is 14, so i will oblige altho only a quick sip for her!! Have to say, the wife aint impressed!!
Wolves losing now! Maybe it's too early to be writing off our season but the problem is that despite all these chances we just can't capitalise on them!
Do you know what, was just thinking, if Barça said to Mick, you can have one of our players for nothing, im sure he would go for Busquets!!
Yeah your right there Sd, forgot, if you bring in Busquets, that would mean a threat to Tabb and Skuse!!
Well again results did not hurt us as much as they probably should have, but as Warky says what good is it to us if we cannot make use of them.
I think that we should be eternally grateful to MM for saving us from relegation to Division 1 and for stabilising the club during the past 2 seasons, but surely the time has come, whether we scrape into the play offs or not, for the parting of the ways. His persistence in refusing to drop his favourites, his unbelievable stubbornness and his total lack of tactical awareness in the modern game will never allow us to progress. We have the basis of a good squad but now need someone to bring some attack minded thinking to the table and to bring some flair to the proceedings. MM is certainly a quality Championship manager who will stabilise any Championship team but can anyone really see the current squad making significant progress next season. I'm hoping that he might be tempted by the vacancy at his local team, Millwall. A former club and just round the corner from home, this would surely suit both parties. Thanks Mick, you have done what you believe to have been your best but it has just not been good enough at the sharp end of the season. The bloodletting has already started on TWTD
