Yup. It's not particularly happy reading.

I guess the slight problem with me including the 1990s seasons is that there were more teams in the Prem back then, and thus we played more games over the course of a season. I'll keep them on there for now though.

So what you are saying JK is, by and large, not to put too finer point on it, taking everything into consideration, notwithstanding we have the January transfer window looming, at the end of the day, when all is said and done, basically ..........................................................

    ........................................ we're well and truly fcuked ! :emoticon-0106-cryin

Let's put it this way KIO, if we lose to Man Utd this weekend, it'll be our worst opening 17 games ever in the Premier League!

We definitely need to start wining some games - its not as if we have not had chances to - should have murdered Stoke, Ruddy costs us two points at West Ham and Jerome cost another two on Saturday. Throw another 6 points on to our total and whilst we are not looking stunning at least our heads are above water.

I'll wager the table will be looking a little more rosie now but we're still gonna need a good second half to the season to stay up.

    Bah!

Brilliant JK. Much appreciated. In 2011/12 we had some good luck with sending-offs in key games as well as the promotion buzz. Although January was reasonable, helped by another sending-off at QPR, things fell away badly after that with a fairly dismal run that led to only 18 points in the second half of the season. In 2012/13 results at this stage were buoyed by the 10 match unbeaten run, but fell away badly after that. Considering we haven't had much luck or any penalties so far, we must be due some good fortune sometime soon. IMO, as AN is saying, there's a good chance of a better points haul in the second half of the season. Mbokani is looking good, as is Jerome and the defence is looking settled and solid. I'm feeling optimistic. Thanks again JK!

Our good points hauls from November and December have completely mitigated against our disastrous October.
20 points from 19 games. That'll do me. Bang on track.

I'm optimistically hoping for 5 points from January!

For how many times we have said we could have gotten a point more here or 2 points more there the fact we are out of the bottom 3 and have exactly half our points target after half the games is really encouraging. I can see us having a better second half to the season as the team settles down, Neil has more experience and hopefully we will get reinforcements in the window. It's all looking far more positive.

Me too. The biggest positive for me is that AN does seem able to fix things if the original plan is not working out and that flexibiliity is refreshing. With arguably the weakest squad in the division, we are holding our own and generally competing well. We have to accept that if one of the big guns 'turn up' and play well (like Totenham did recently) we will get beaten, but to counter that if any team does not play well we are capable of taking points anywhere.

Where is KIO's post about the fact it's game over after the last table!?....

    Feels weird without it!
