I Boycott Tesco For Calling Me Darling

Beth Bellamy decided to stop shopping at Tesco because of how she was addressed by a checkout operator.

"I was fed up with being called sweetheart, darling and babe by checkout operators at my local Tesco," she explains.

"So I told the young checkout lady that I would rather she didn't call me that as it was patronising, and that I found it offensive. She replied that if I didn't like it I was free to use a different checkout operator.

"The checkout operator I chose was one at a completely different and cheaper supermarket."

In a statement Tesco said: "We always do our best to offer customers the best possible service and it's never our intention to cause any offence.

"If this customer would like to discuss how we handled this situation, we'd ask them to get in touch so we can look into what happened."

This important and relevant news story is indicative of how intolerant society has become after years of pandering to the cult of self-obsessed, soul destroying, entitled ingrates who are intent on making this country a never ending sea of beige through an over-expectation for groveling customer service wherever they go.

The kicker is that Beth Bellamy took offense to being called 'babe' by a female checkout operative. Imagine the level of beel if it had been a man?!

At least now that she shops in a cheaper supermarket than Tesco she won't have to worry about the till staff calling her patronizing names as most of the Lidl and Aldi checkout workers I've ever seen can barely scrape together two words in English.

Checkout staff can't say 'babe', bank staff now have to use 10 different forms of address for Trannies, say 'Love' 'Queen' or 'Doll' and you are a chauvinist pig or a potential rapist.

I think Ms/Mrs/Ms/Mz Bellamy needs to get herself one of these and chill out
