think i've sussed it mate, got all the other channels, but you know i watch little TV, so this just looks better and sounds better than my laptop.

Good, long as you sorted it mate. The Smart stuff ie Youtube will be a different source (channel) to your tv viewing normally. Generally it's only a cabling set up wrong if you didn't get channels.
