The Premiership is not all that it is cracked up to be. Give me last season and the work ethic any day. The sense of togetherness and pride, I miss that. Hard to have any sense of allegiance with the modern day Premiership player.
Bloody Norwich I used to like em but their total pratlike fans have changed my opinion Think they're so funny but what goes around comes around
Agree, which co-incidentally is the only reason I am here because what one your muppet fans put on our board! No smoke without fire and all that.
Personally I love to watch a thumpingly competitive game at any level, including the local parks on a Sunday morning. All leagues have their own pros and cons, none more so that the prem with its fancy-Dans strutting about in the vague hope of a dead-ball advantage. Hoof ball v. repetitive probing with simple passes as a spectacle? Whilst the latter style seems to meet with universal approval, they're both simply a means to same end and both bore me to death tbh. At the end of the day it's all about the opportunities created by either approach; and more so the rub of the green therafter. As for backing Rangers, doesn't really matter to me what league we're in. The match day thrills and spills as expressed in those vibrant colours, sound, fury - and the resultant agonies and ecstacies that so forcefully determine our mood the following evening, are much of a muchness tbh. Of course fans are going to want their club as high up the pecking order as possible, that's only natural - but famous names and TV exposure aside, that doesn't mean the prem is a better league than any other... does it?
I think it was the homophobic stuff that did it rather than the football.TBH it was a bit daft,as if Stephen Fry was reponsible for the mess you find yourselves in.You would have been better targetting I-talian nutters.
Swansea City make Norwich City look very normal thankfully we won't have to play these great clubs again phew!
Well you've just posted on it Flanners Christ, and they were saying I was pessimistic! That just makes the prospect even worse does it not?
Swords, I think I've just got the message. TF knew it was too late to save us. After all, if he wanted instant results, he must have been aware of the fact that Hughes is the last man you would want. I now see what the master plan was after all. Hughes is locked in. The new players are too. Next season, we will be passing the ball all the way from goalkeeper (PaddyK/an other) to Cisse to tap in at the other end, scoring every 30 minutes or so. Who needs passion when we can bore our opponents into submission? No hoofball at all. TF and MH guarantee it.
I'm just bored with the topic and can't see any light at the end of the tunnel. If they just gave us a glimmer of hope to hold onto I feel better. Prehaps I'm looking for the Status Quo
Have you had a wee drop of Moonshine from the Dales tonight Yorkshire? Are you a bit worse for wear? You seem to be having trouble making any sense. You're for the drying out pal.
swords.....your OP is spot on......cannot disagree with what you posted.... Unfortunately...the prem aint the best league in the world..... I have long said (and flyer will back me on this) that the best league is la liga....As we are slowly getting found out with our 1 dimensional teams, the chumps league is out of our league now...... the prem ain the best, most supported or even most succesfull league in europe...Just the most over hyped, publicised and promoted.... Sorry...just an observation ...imho
You're quite right there Queenslander, the PL is the best at promoting itself but it is being left behind now that the Spanish have added high-tempo workrate to their skilful passing game. A good barometer of this is how well Swansea have done coming up from the Championship with a Spanish style passing game that was alien to that division and has taken many PL sides by surprise as well. Now they have the confidence they are not out of place I believe Swansea are perhaps three top players away from challenging for a top four place. Our PL teams are gonna have to improve their passing game significantly to be competitive with the top European sides, let alone Barca and Real Madrid. As for us, relegation, if it happens, may not offer the success of last season. I just pray we can get out of our current hole...
