We won 2 difficult away games against teams above us. We are a limited team, not going to turn over Man City, but we've been turned over by a succession of teams like Northwich Victoria in the cup, under a succession of different managers, so reaching the quarters is an achievement given our Cup form in the last 20/30 years.
Afraid I'm equally pessimistic as most on this thread... I can see where they might get 2 or 3 goals, whereas I just can't see where we can. But hopefully that's just nerves talking and JJ will get us through on his own.
I find it quite reassuring that we go into the game as slight underdogs, which reflects our form. The bookies aren't stupid.
Wembley v Sunderland. What an afternoon! Sadly, for us, that's a sort of statistical blip. I desperatley hope for that sort of performance, but I fear another sort of operation Riverside/Ewood day out where we all end up feeling let down that when we needed something special, it never showed up. I'm in Berlin, and have no idea where I'll we watching/following this one, but I've got a nice clean straight-jacket for the aftermath when I feel the urge to kick the telly.
No losing mentality entered my mind at all, the only though of losing mentality i had was whilst typing my last post how you would respond with your losing mentality reply. Confused ? Team of distinction was not even mentioned also, point is the same mentality you have applied to each game previous, yet here we are. I'll be back in a minute, the sound of the waves crashing has alerted me to the fact that the shrimps are done !
