http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20667985 Confidence certainly is not the issue (at least for him)
Martin has a positive winning attitude which mixed with the right tactics and players will make this club a success.....that it deserves to be
I've stuck with Marty and only a handful of posters on here seem to have lost faith. . In my honest opinion it is going to take a heap of time for us to repair the damage done by Bruce's haphazard approach to management. We pretty much need a new squad and with the exception of Mig and Catts our best players have been MON's signings. However MON is not stupid enough to bring in 9 new players in a window. That is not team building. I think we will be safe and this is a blip.
The points tomorrow may be vital for your end of season finish, but I don't see the result having any significance on your run of bad form. Without wanting to rub salt in any wounds, your weekend fixture is a trip to Old Trafford. Every one of our players will be focussed on what happened after the whistle went on match day 38 last season. United will want to hurt you, we'll want to rip you to pieces and leave your side a battered mess, to exercise any demons left from last May, off the back of battering the life out of City in the council house. I'm going for 1-0 - a Rooney penalty! Seriously though, I hope you guys put it right soon your squad is too decent to be down there.
Or like how we took the most points off City than any other team? Or letting you beat us? There wasn't much more we could have done to help you. But lets cover up your short comings by making a scapegoat out of us yeah?
The only thing i am worried about is RELEGATION we have two fixyures this month to see us climb a little Reading and Southampton. The biigest loss to us in getting relegated is im sure the money for the pemier league next year is going up quite a bit for us to lose that will be catostrophic
I'm 100% behind him also no matter what the result. Even a ten nil drubbing wouldn't change my view on him
I don't normally respond to this kind of jibe, but after United spawned their win against City on Sunday I honestly hope we get at least a point. Our response on match 38 was down to the happenings at the time not that MUFC lost the championship. What would have any other set of fans done, we had taken 4 points off City so there cannot be any complaint. You lost a championship at 90+5 but won a derby at 90+5 with a daft deflection. Parallels?
Good OP What amazes me is when people reel off all these managers names, none with MON's track record and some with very little experience. They talk about them as if they would come here no matter what and instantly change our luck! Then others are certain that he will be gone after this game or that. There is no way Short, a very savvy businessman, would leave his investment hanging in limbo. Unless MON walks, which I for one don't believe would ever happen. Any changes would be at seasons end.
